Wikipedia shows that Mendenhall was previously an assistant coach at New Mexico before he took over at BYU. Good get for the Lobos. But you have to wonder if the administration and the fan base will show support.

If Shoe is being retained, I hope that he has been learning the intricacies of the run and shoot, which he can meld in with his prior offensive experience. A pure run and shoot would not be effective, and UH's offense showed RPO mixed in with RNS in the latter part of the season.
