Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion
use aloha stadium as the new dump site.taking the waipio soccer complex away from the public is off the table. I don't agree with the Waipio Soccer site as a landfill, but the Mayor did say that a new soccer complex in Ewa/Kapolei area, I'm assuming the old Marine Corps Air Station Ewa site, would ...

Re: Does Ganot Stay or Go
Kinda hard when you have that Hawaii stink following you around. [/quote] Jamie Dixon has TCU going to the NCAA tournament for the past few years. And before that at the U of Pittsburgh, they were a top 25 team. Chris Gerlufsen who filled in during Ganot absence for a few games. He's doing well at ...

Re: Does Ganot Stay or Go
I agree need some excitement about the team. Say what you want about the Gib Arnold, Benjy Taylor era at least they had an exciting offense and recruits which eventually lead to an NCAA tournament appearance and win If Gib Arnold or Benjy Taylor were good candidates for another Division 1 head coac...

Re: Does Ganot Stay or Go
True enough on history of going dancing. But always had some excitement around the teams. Like Riley used to say, need jc or older guys to handle distance from the mainland. Complement them with a few freshman. And if Ganot is here in the fall, please no schedule with two D2 schools that count. Exh...

Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion
No offense, guys, but Holy Hell...does ANYTHING get done in Hawaii???? Glad UW has had War Memorial Stadium since 1950. Right now they are doing renovations to it. Stuff does and can get done. BUT for multitude of reasons people like to make simple things as hard as possible, which makes it more ex...

Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion
New Aloha Stadium is being built first, the surrounding entertainment district will follow after. Can't believe people still aren't getting that. And thing is its not just being built for UH football, its being built for other events. I take it that you must not be following the latest local news t...

Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion
You actually may have a good idea there. Why not build "around" the field, then replace the turf. None of this entertainment district, housing, hotels, zoning, etc., etc. Just build a stadium. Not all that fluff. To take it a step further. What's the average attendance? 6K? They can tear ...

Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion
LOL expanding Ching Field that too will go over budget, probably more than New Aloha Stadium will cost. No one besides UH football and maybe some high school games will be able to use it.

Re: Director of Recruiting Savannah Reier moving on
Congrats to Savannah. Happy for her, sad for us. I really enjoyed her social media posts, mainly her tik toks with the team. Showed a relatability with some of the players the public doesn't usually see if you're not following them. And even if you do follow them many of the players don't post like ...

Re: UH (Todd Graham) 2 - Fresno St (Kalen Deboer) 0
Who puts them in the same category? I don't think anyone questioned his ability to coach. Just the way he treated players. Agreed. He can coach. But the way he treated his players and staff are on a completely off the charts. Graham was an old-school type of coach in the vein of a Nick Saban, Tom C...

Re: Why do we need a TE coach & players?
June, Mack and Rolo NEVER had a TE coach and went 4 wide with 10 win seasons, and multiple bowl appearances. Since the beginning of time TE have always killed Hawaii, including the tall Kissinger-Hill from FAU who upset the TC led team in 2004. Yet the past 2 years the TE was hardly ever utilized a...

At least we won't have to see DG beat us.
