Re: Hawaii Recruiting next 2 years (or more)
And no more project player who possibly could be good years to come. No need find a diamond in the rough from Japan, Australia, China, Europe, etc. Gotta hit the recruiting trail where competive football is played year round from small kid time to high school

Re: Don't hate the messenger.....but what if?
I'm pretty sure that Matlin did not have a say when Aloha Stadium self-condemned and shut down. We can thank our State legislators for not funding for appropriate repairs and maintenance over the past couple decades, and Ige for not releasing all of the allocated funds. Yes Matlin was proactive to ...

Re: Hawaii Recruiting next 2 years (or more)
I think we need to recruit 2 JC or Portal Transfer to challenge Schager next spring for QB1 & 2. I don't feel good about relying on a true freshman or any other returning QBs. I was hoping for 1 JC and 1 hs and maybe 1 portal. Didn't do all that well with the portal last year at the QB position...

Re: Official 2023 UH vs New Mexico St pregame thread
To say this game is a must win is an understatement. - Already we only had less than 8000 turnstile against UAlbany and a lost will have even less fans (especially students) at the next home game. Imagine Men's and Women's VBall drawing more fans at the SSC than our football team. - Going into confe...

Re: Hawaii Recruiting next 2 years (or more)
North Texas and Texas State could be case studies in handling the portal era North Texas Mean Green head coach Eric Morris and Texas State Bobcats head coach GJ Kinne each took vastly different approaches to roster construction in their first year at the program. Now Texas State has a buzz ahead of...

Re: Hawaii vs. Oregon Game Thread
I haven't seen much RnS so far this season, the Oline needs help. Timmy probably is realizing that he needs to hire Stutz as OC for next season. Shoes offense is offensive to the Hawaii Fans. One name: Craig Stutzman for Hawaii OC. Aside from Timmy, all other offensive coaches are learning the RNS,...

Re: Hawaii QB1 &2 (1999-Current)
I don't think Morris is here to learn the RNS. He is just a football player that loves football, being on a team. If his Navy commission was in San Diego, would he try to play for San Diego State? With the permission of his commanders. Somehow, I wish UH would line up with a wishbone offense with M...

Re: Hawaii QB1 &2 (1999-Current)
The inability to land a quality backup QB is clearly showing and could ultimately cause this season to go down really fast if QB1 goes down. Recruiting a backup triple option QB to learn the RNS offense was not what this team needed. I thought pulling Schager in the 4th qtr to prevent an injury and ...
