Re: 2011 High School Cross Country

Hey, Shannon and Con. I haven't been really on this site since track season. I was glad to see your posts. My son, Chris, told me that there were "adults" here and on Big Dog's blog bad-mouthing high school athletes. Quite pathetic. Shannon, are you still running for HPU? Chris is going to...

Re: 2011 High School track and field

The times for the 3000 meters at the Honolulu Marathon meet would likely have been 15 seconds faster across the board if not for the ferocious wind. Thib was pushed by Mosch who stayed on his tail for the first 6 laps. Margarito and others took turns leading the chase pack to spread out the work aga...

Re: 2010 Cross Country

Did the OIA and IHL have league meets this weekend? Bob, is it just that nobody has gotten it together to send you the results? That's weak. You would think they would use Ka'u Tech as a vehicle to promote their athletes and the sport.

Re: 2010 Cross Country

Having seen a fair number of races this year and taking into account course differences and head-to-head match-ups here's one man's ranking of the boys field thus far: (1) Pierce Murpjy (2) Margarito Martinez (3) Jordan Thibodeau (4) Ryan Hobson (5) Chris Mosch (6) Troy Esaki (7) Dylan Martinez (8) ...

Re: Track and Field 2010

For the Honolulu Marathon Invitational it looks like (from the schedules posted on Ka'u Tech) there are meets at Kamehameha as well as at one of the OIA schools. I thought the OIA and ILH schools were running together on that day. Am I misreading something?

Re: Track and Field 2010

Apparently, Margarito hurt his toe (broken?). Must be the reason for the 4:28 in the 1500 at the ILH meet. Murphy, Mosch, Sato, and Thibideau all posted times under 4:24. Not bad for the first week.

Re: Cross Country 2009

nobody2 - It's no use comparing the Mt SAC Invite results to last years Footlocker West race. It appears as though the same course was not run both times. I don't know whether different loops were used, or what the deal was, but it couldn't have been the same course as Footlocker. Chris Schwartz won...

Re: Cross Country 2009

I see Pierce Murphy did very well at the Mt SAC Invite this weekend, running a 16:15 on a very challenging course. I would definitely not count him out next weekend against Margarito for the individual title. Should be fun to watch!

800 Runner - Thanks for the update from the ILH. Are there official results of the meet up? Or do you know what the top boys times were?

Re: Cross Country 2009

mauioutlaw - Regarding the BIIF times this week. I think there is a combination of weather and just the fact that we are further along in the year and the kids are in better shape at work here. The last time BIIF ran on the Kamehameha campus the races started in the morning and there were teams from...
