Re: Hawaii only scored 10 points against Florida
It's a new team. I think it'll take 2 seasons to get back on track, but I'm surprised at the success of the recruiting. When I started posting here, we hardly ever got quality recruits early on, but now...and remember how we were all complainging about the crap recruiting in that Kahuku (sp?) area? ...

Re: Obama 'is elected US president'
By the way, NiCkOwNsRTR, must be odd for you. I know you area is very democratic, but the rest of you state....well,, really the whole southis the opposite. How was the presidential race, down there in the south? I thought my mother's home state would sway blue, but Louisiana went red.

Re: Obama 'is elected US president'
I haven't posted here in a while. Gotta say, I'm very happy about this. I think the country needed a change anyway. Of course, I think we were too limited in our choices, but I think the right man won. I was disgusted by many of the tactics used by the republican party. I received filth here in the ...

She's here in Madison tonight. Apparently, it was supposed to be yesterday, but we've been hit by yet another snow storm (we've gotten almost 100 inches of snow this winter!!!). So I may try and cover that rally, although, I doubt she will be as good a speaker as Obama or Bill Clinton were last week...

He talked about everything important, healthcare, poverty, talked about himself (what he plans to do) talked about Iraq, and how the terror we have been living in for 8 years is over soon, things like that. He also had the crowd give an ovation for McCain for his service in battle. Then mentioned ho...

I got to cover Obama's rally in Madison as a member of the press (as a photographer) Man, this guy is dynamic, especially in person. He was late (half hour  ) but still, it was worth it. I think, in terms of communication, he will certainly be better than what we have now, but after years of l...

Re: Official Super Bowl XLII Thread
The best would be if my Jets go undefeated 1 day. The Dolphins, loosing their record to their biggest rivals.....Never happen, but would be real sweet.
By the way, Tico, you gotta let me know if they're celebrating in Manhattan like they did when the Rangers won the Stanley Cup, amico, that was nutz.

Re: Official Super Bowl XLII Thread
He will be like Derek Jeter in New York, which is good for him. So, after all the talk, it looks like Eli DID make the right choice to shun the Chargers for the Giants.

Re: Official Super Bowl XLII Thread
Great Upset! I don't know which upset I'd pick, this one or Joe Namath guaranteeing a win as 3 score underdogs! Ah yes, my Jets crowning moment. I'm just happy that a championship is coming to New York, it's been a while for us New Yorkers, you know. It's even more special that they beat the Jet's ...

Re: smu pulls scholy offer, people po'd
All is true, but you have to feel bad for the recruits. They work their butts off, think recruiting is over, made their plans, and then, this. They are kids, getting ready for school, not adults getting ready for the rest of their lives (as in the real world). I guess they gotta learn somehow, but y...
