Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion

We already are seeing power 4 teams buying their way out of games scheduled with us and seeing compass schools replacing them on the UH schedule. Now we are being told a new stadium is coming in 2028. Hawaii-Manoa will be in FCS or Division II by then. It should be obvious that FBS schools are not g...

Re: 2025 Football Recruits.

Hawaii players showcased their skills at two camps this past weekend.Starting with the Battle Houston 7on7 tournament in Texas. The 247sports scout wrote that WR Kaimana Carvalho,Kahuku, was “dominant”, “nearly unguardable”,and “caught everything thrown his way”. More guys shined at the 2024 Polynesi...

Re: 2025 Football Recruits.

Looks like two players on the recruit list have transferred to Mililani. Tana Togafau-Tavui 3-star WR ,formerly Campbell ,now lists Mililani as his school. 3-star S Isaiah Iosefa, who played for Waipahu in 2023,has gone back to Mililani. 247 sports has both players at Mililani for fall 2024. I don’t...

Re: All OIA OPEN State Championship. Sign of Things to Come

It would seem that one Mililani player has already transferred. LB/S Isaiah Iosefa is a class of 2025 Three star recruit who now lists Waipahu as his school on social media.

It makes sense to switch now so you learn the new schemes in spring practice instead of coming in cold in summer camp.

Re: So Who Will Replace The LEE Brothers at ST.LOUIS.

Doubt seriously that Coach Ron Lee will be on the sidelines at St. Louis next year. The quote from the StarAdvertiser article was,”I still have that passion for coaching. It’s not going to be at St.Louis.” Get it.The next HC would always be under his shadow as an assistant . No way Ron Lee would do t...

Re: All OIA OPEN State Championship. Sign of Things to Come

In the late 60’s ,before the ILH public schools bolted for the OIA,both leagues had ten schools that played football. There were 9 regular season games and you could play a max of 2 preseason games. Then the top four teams in each league would play two games in the Turkey Bowl at the old Honolulu St...

Re: So Who Will Replace The LEE Brothers at ST.LOUIS.

Maybe a long time assistant coach like Rob Crowell wants to move up to HC. Lee is retiring as a head coach but still wants to coach as an assistant from what I’ve read so far. That poses another question….what would be a likely landing spot for Coach Lee? Kaiser or Kalani would be schools he’s had hi...
