Re: Dennis Thurman tabbed to be new DC
I feel just as much of a lack of a enthusiasm as I felt when Chow hired his coordinators. Please say Thurman is not the next DC. To be clear: no one will migrate from Colorado because of Thurman. You have a unique talent of writing posts that puts your foot in your mouth. Time will tell on Dennis T...

Re: Shoe, Ena, Irvin not retained
stutz as offensive coordinator would be nice. Stutz aspires to be more than an OC....so will be interesting to see how strong the "Kalaepohaku Brotherhood" really is. I like Stutzman as the new OC. We need to build consistency and depth with coaching knowledge of the Run and Shoot on the ...

Re: Is the RNS not the answer?
Hawaii fans love the explosiveness and excitement of the Run and Shoot offense. The State of Hawaii needs to give UH Football a higher ceiling in the Coaching Staff's annual budget to recruit Coaches that know and understand the system. Bring in Dan Morrison as the QB Coach, Craig Stutzman as the O...

Re: FREE SOLO
Sorry guys, but I agree with Palolo. The easy way to beat the RNS is to put constant pressure on and sack the QB. Solo in the backfield gives our QB more confidence sitting in the pocket with an another solid blocker at RB. Allowing Solo to run more would give the defense one more thing to defend in...

Re: QB Micah Alejado commits
One more thing, I was waiting for Coach to recruit a Dual Threat QB. Coach Chang did not disappoint.

Re: QB Micah Alejado commits
I really like that Micah decided to go to the mainland to play for Bishop Gorman and prove he could play with a high level of success at an elite level in H.S. Then decide that he wants to return home to play for the home team. He gets to experience the mainland, but appreciates and misses Hawaii, f...

My Christmas wish is a JC Dual Threat QB and a HS Dual Threat QB and bring Stuzman back home to run the Offense.

Re: Time for the OC & DC to make some major changes
Also this game I have no clue what Yoro was thinking with his prevent defense and his LB's dropping back into coverage against a QB completing nearly 80% of his passes. Agreed. That's how to beat a team like Fresno, with an accurate passing QB like Jake Haener. Put pressure on him, rattle his cage....

Re: ** Fresno game thread (+27) FS1/2**
Jake Haener picked apart our defense all night.
Not putting pressure on a QB like Colt or Cole would have gotten the same results.

Re: Hawaii Recruiting next 2 years (or more)
Going to be very rare for losing teams to keep star high school recruits on their roster for 4-5 years. Got to be realist to notice mid-majors are now what FCS schools were (feeders for bigger schools or home to transfers wanting to play) The Coaching staff under Timmy, with the development and eve...

Re: Plz stop with saying the offense is RnS
The only QB on roster with spread offense experience is Cooper and he hasn't smelt the field. Let's hope we get a QB with RnS background. Cooper has the RnS background from being at Washington State and has dual threat capabilities to get to the first down marker using his legs when receivers are c...

Re: The Positives From The SDST Game
I actually thought that our offense except at quarterback could run the spread. We really strong at runningback. For passing I still think we need a bigger stronger back who won’t get blocked backwards into our quarterback. I can see our backs trying really hard but mac truck will run through and o...
