Re: NFL Hawaiians
Maybe they excluded Russ Francis because he was born in Seattle but his dad ran 50th State wrestling as Ed Francis. Herman Wedemeyer was great and they mourned his passing at St. Mary's but his professional career was short. Yup, DeForest Buckner should be up there. But what about Mark Tuinei, 15 ...

Re: NFL Hawaiians
It ain’t just Russ they missed.
They must think that DeForest Buckner ain’t from Hawaii. That’s the only reason they could exclude him.

Re: Time for change with Hawaii Mens Basketball
I hope with a passion that we’d at least considering ditching Ganot so we can hire Craig Smith. Utah made the head-scratching decision of firing Smith, even though he was holding his own and had beaten ranked teams. Some mid-major will hire Smith.

We need the hoops version of Rich Hill. Ganot=Trap.

Re: Time for change with Hawaii Mens Basketball
Hawaii mens basketball has been below average at best. Last season was the peak for Ganot, oh and his NCAA run with Gib Arnolds talent does not count. His time is over. He’s boring and nothing better than an assistant. Please resign. I believe the university is too focused on academic’s. I get it bu ...

Re: Time for change with Hawaii Mens Basketball
Does Ganot remind anybody else of Trap? Because if that’s the case, we need the Rich Hill of hoops.

Re: 24-25 HS Hoops
We are the champions…of the state! I do wonder how this makes followers of Iolani and Kamehameha feel, considering we did them favors. Kamehameha remains the only school to have won football and boys basketball state championships in the same school year, while Iolani is still the only school to h ...

Is Ganot reminding anybody else of Trap? If we choose to go in a different direction, we’ll need the basketball equivalent of Rich Hill.

Re: This is how it all goes down
If something economically disastrous occurs (which I predict it will), I hope its effects will rear their ugly ASAP rather than gradually. The Smoot-Hawley Tariff of 1930 caused immediate disastrous effects and helped the country avoid further damage with similar polices that could’ve been enacted u ...

Re: 2024 Football Season
I am now wondering if STL WILL JUST LEAVE THE ILH AFTER THIS SEASON and join OIA Open. It's possible and in a lot of ways that makes more sense for STL. I don't think for safety and liability reasons that KSK and STL can play games on Fri/Mon. Overall, this is totally unfair to STL, @RealTalk: How ...

Re: 2024 Football Season
I’m about to mention the 2005 season again because that was one year where there Wednesday and Monday games, if you can believe that. That was because of three things: the ILH regular season ending too late, the seeding committee rewarding Baldwin the bye over the ILH champion, and the three-way tie ...

Re: 2016 Presidential Election
I think the 2016 election was pivotal since Trump said and did so many things that should have been disqualifying. Meanwhile Hillary came off arrogant and did not have a ground game thinking that Trump was his worst enemy. After he got the spotlight, it was hard to get him out of the spotlight ...

Re: 2016 Presidential Election
I no longer recognize this nation. In one day it has brushed aside its democratic principles, a respect for the rule of law, and compassion for the less fortunate replacing it with greed, avarice, and hate. I'm sixty five now and the principles that I spent my life supporting have been thrown out ...

Re: 2016 Presidential Election
@OIAwrestling: "YOU da MAN!" So glad to have yet another Harris Democrat on this thread. Last month, one of my colleagues at work who is local Chinese, said almost the same thing you said above: "I don't know how anyone who isn't haole, could vote for him; he's a White racist". Infidel ain’t a w ...
