Re: High School Football 2023

I don't think Punahou will have a problem beating Kamehameha. The Warriors are 4-0, but hardly tested. This will be their first true test and ultimately the first game that really counts. I believe their limitations in the passing game will hurt them in the long run against better opponents. In the...

Re: High School Football 2023

to the new norm. re saint louis vs mililani, but the receiver nunuha did not play. wondering? Right was wondering too about Nunuha. Gentlemen of the Lou is right. St.Louis O line may be the best in the State. The rest f the offense need to catch up. Punahou vs.Kamehameha this weekend will be intere...

Re: High School Football 2023

This week 1.Kahuku 2. Campbell 3. Punahou 4. Mililani 5. Kamehameha 6. St.Louis 7. Kapolei 8. Konawaena 9. Waipahu 10.Farrington. Iolani forfeit their rights for ranking. I'm gonna be honest, I kinda expected Saint Louis to lose against Mililani as their defense showed to be severely underwhelming,...

Re: High School Football 2023

Let me give everyone here an analogy to Kahuku’s win tonight—this is like UH beating Kansas 25 years ago. With lots of football remaining and the fact that Punahou, Campbell, Mililani are still formidable teams, Kahuku ain’t a lock to win states again. Winning states is the equivalent of that UH te...

Re: High School Football 2023

Will Ron Lee still think Mililani is tops in the state?

I do think Mililani could give Kahuku a game, but man is Kahuku riding high. If nobody beats them this year, everybody’s chances of toppling them next year look rather bleak.

Re: High School Football 2023

If Mana’s injury is serious, this victory will taste bittersweet.

Re: High School Football 2023

The way Kahuku is playing now, I wonder if they packed it in last week once the MD game got out of hand and saved a lot of things and energy for tonight. It helps that SJB is playing as bad as we did last night when we committed a slew of consecutive turnovers. It could also be that for Kahuku, the ...

Re: High School Football 2023

Ron Lee called Mililani the best team in the state. Better than Kahuku.

We’ve got to remember our attitude against Mililani and use it against future opponents.

Re: High School Football 2023

Talk about a statement win. Mililani 41-3 over St Louis. They’ve improved since their game against us. Man was our game against Campbell incredibly disappointing. A lot of fluke things that favored them happened tonight that I’d hate to have happen again against us. I hope we didn’t lose Nelson Aau...

Re: High School Football 2023

Iolani just forfeited its game against Kapolei. ScoringLive says they’ve got 40 total players. Are most of them injured? Why schedule Farrington and Kapolei if you're not going to play them? Is Coach Look still the AD? Or is someone else scheduling these games that get canceled? Seems odd to schedu...

Re: High School Football 2023

Something tells me Kahuku will give St John Bosco much more of a game than they gave Mater Dei, although the health of Mana is key. Having already played a team like MD is key to Kahuku playing much better against SJB. Plus, it never hurts to host the game, unlike last Saturday.

Re: High School Football 2023

Mater Dei 34 Kahuku 0 just before halftime

Turnovers are killing Kahuku. I’ll guarantee that future Kahuku opponents will use this game against them to try to force turnovers out of them, although I doubt they’ll be able to do it as well as Mater Dei has.
