Re: WR Alex Perry committed

It's hard to find information on this guy. He's a high school graduate who was known for basketball...as far as I can tell. 6' 6" and 170 pounds. Carolina is football country. Welcome.

Re: Bobby Curran stepping away from UH FB broadcasts

I have followed Hawaii football these past 32 years. I have no memory of Curran, except for references posted in this forum. I don't mean to be mean. I'd like to see more people like Mighty Mouse promoting Hawaii football officially. Too many old-hats and institutional favorites get to speak for the...

Re: Hawaii vs. BYU series looks dead now

CFB has changed significantly since I started watching it. I honestly don't care if we ever play BYU again. Sure, they've bullied us a bit, but we've thrown a wrench into that machine a few times. We've even bested Wyoming in 3 of our last 5 meetings. I know Wyokie believes his team to be a nemesis...

Re: Hawaii vs. BYU series looks dead now

I know we've had a long history with BYU, but we chopped the legs off that monster a few times. Better yet, we pissed on their parade. Wagner had the best success. Jones had a signature blow-out of a title contender. Rolo scored a close win in his final Hawaii Bowl. Why did BYU play Hawaii that year...

Re: Pitt QB Joey Yellen committed

We've got an ASU/Pitt qb, a WSU qb, and Armani Edden (Threw for 3,044 yards and 27 touchdowns, while completing 63.7 percent of his passes. Also rushed for 277 yards and six touchdowns.) Schager started a few games last year. Jake Farrell looks pretty good too. Yeah, I'd say we don't need any more q...

See...the portal can work in our favor. Welcome home, kid. (I know he isn't from Hawaii.)

Re: *** Official New HC Timmy Chang Thread ***

Being a moderator doesn’t mean I can’t post comments, take part in discussions or have opinions. It's hard being physically close to the program and not being extra frustrated by what's gone on for the past two years... and then come on here and debate others who are further away and have a differe...

Re: *** Official New HC Timmy Chang Thread ***

The TG bandage cannot be viewed as an era. It lasted two years. The bandage produced an awesome win over Houston in the Hawaii Bowl...no...no...no... it delivered a victory in the other bowl. It delivered a formidable defense for two years. It struggled on offense but showed promise. The TG show was...

Re: *** Official New HC Timmy Chang Thread ***

Manoa doesn't build the program, they apply band-aides. Make no mistake: TG wouldn't owe UH a buyout because he was run out of town. Dude was gracious enough not to fight it. Some quick-fixes work while others erode it. Von Appen and Chow were disasters. McMackin and Graham were successful. I watche...

Re: *** Official New HC Timmy Chang Thread ***

UH: are you a moderator or a perpetrator of hate? Seriously, why would anyone continue to heap dispersion on this guy? TG did the honorable thing. In the face of a witch hunt, he declined a buy-out to help the program. TG has been a winning coach here and elsewhere. I really don't see the need to co...

Re: OL Vanterpool Gets His First Start

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMRwseaDd-4 This episode is a good one. Vanterpool is improving. He strikes me as being an extraordinary interviewer. He's interviewing two walk-ons and the walk-ons sound great. You should know by now that I'm an optimist, and I think this team is still something sp...

Re: OL Vanterpool Gets His First Start

This is one of the best player productions I've ever seen. Vanterpool has a future in sportscasting. I also fully understand the situation at the end of the Graham situation now. It was clearly more than just coach...but coach's mistakes were handled in a much more respectful way by these players t...

Definitely an upgrade. Thank you, Wylan. Good luck, Lockridge. Hawaii is a great place to live and a great place to play football.
