Re: spring game this sunday 5 pm
Poor marketing to get the word out and bad time (Sunday Evening). Events like this is important to help boost season tickets (new & renewals). really. found out friday that the spring game was sunday. they were trying to catch people from the baseball game, but I guess no one knew about the 4pm...

Re: 12th game will be against FCS Delaware State
Everyone complaining about this is coming from a perspective of pride. I get that. But the reality is that it doesn't matter. It makes people feel embarrassed, but after week zero, no one will care (unless we lose). Trying to schedule so last-minute like this doesn't give you a lot of options. Unles...

Re: 12th game will be against FCS Delaware State
In hindsight, that schedule didn't hurt us at all. Our culture of shame makes us feel embarrassed by it, but it didn't keep us out of the BCS.

Re: 12th game will be against FCS Delaware State
This is a very important season for a lot of reasons. I am good with opening the season againsts a lower opponent. Sharpen the offense, build some momentum, and stay healthy. We aren't competing for a national championship yet so why not focus on learning on how to win.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qxwp7xmsZQ Not sure how in 2024, we are still talking about a magical man in the sky. It's a travesty against humanity that these teachings still persist. I respect religious freedom, but it's quite central to everything in this country and intrusive sometimes. It ma...

Re: Time’s Up for Ganot
Ganot runs into the same problem that Gib Arnold had when they ran out of gas by the tournament by playing the starters too long in the regular season. it at least looks like they are trying to improve in this area, with only 2 starters playing more than 30 mins/game (Coleman @ 32.6 and McKoy @ 30....

Re: More of the same
Yeah, I picked up on the small guard unable to properly perform the pick and roll in the Bakersfield game twice with Bernardo da Silva rolling alone to the basket and three players trapping the guard. It's interesting how even though Munoz is only a few inches taller than Jovon, he's able to hit Da...

Re: Coaches Sapolu and Yoro Leaving
https://twitter.com/StephenTsai/status/1757181324325175323 Nice. Don’t have to say anything about McNiight. JJ said it all. Also nice to have Derek here. We're doing something right if we can have two guys with the right system experience just show up on short notice to fill in when needed. Same as...

Re: Coaches Sapolu and Yoro Leaving
If Sapolu is an Offensive Analyst or similar role, he probably took a paycut as an average NFL Analyst make between 80k-100K. Depends on what he is making here. Also, Florida doesn't have any state income tax and the cost of living is lower. So he may be making less but will end up netting more. Al...

Re: More of the same
One thing that I don't think gets talked about enough is the upside of not having to play McClanahan. Pick & roll just hasn't worked well with him at the point because his height makes it difficult to make teams pay for helping on the pick by hitting the 5 rolling to the basket. We fall behind o...

Re: The Oregon vs. Hawaii game in 2024 is cancelled
We should play SJSU in week zero. We should play them every year and make it a non-conference game in years where we don't meet them in the regular season.

Re: Shoe, Ena, Irvin not retained
Not aware whether any such official media and/or public UH report exists....but have confirmed with reliable non-media sources that the departure was definitely not voluntary.....just like Shoe, Ena & Irvin (along with also possibly Misipeka & Pu'u-Robinson, as last indicated by WAA). the t...

Re: RB Cam Barfield comits
Are we Bishop Gorman U. Coach CB (along with Ursua) have been UH's primary recruiters (along with Keiki) so his BG connections are being heavily relied upon for now.....but probably won't be sustainable beyond another year or so (since his connection with new BG players probably won't be as strong ...
