Both Chawan Cut and Ubercow have some photos from Saturday’s scrimmage up in the Sportshawaii.com image gallery.

NelsonO added his observations to Scott’s live practice thread from Saturday. Here’s an excerpt:

Safety Kenny Estes had a nice scrimmage. He flattened a receiver on one play causing an incompletion, then intercepted a pass on another play.

Slotback Nathaniel Nasca also had a good scrimmage. The former track star is probably one of the fastest guys on the team. Nasca had a couple of nice catches and made a good run after one of those catches.

Slotback Kealoha Pilares had some nice catches. He is fun to watch after the catch as he just seems to glide his way for positive yardage. He has a patent on the spin move. One of the good things about moving Pilares to slotback is to get him out in open space where he can do a lot of damage.

Running back Jason Rego has displayed some tough running. On Saturday, he bowled over a defender in the secondary for a good gain.

TheDuke posted his observations from today’s (Day 12) practice. An excerpt:

The front seven on the first team created havoc. I had heard about it all spring and they looked good today.

Elimimian and Leonard look like studs. Blaze was held out.

It was good to see the OL and DL go one on one and it was great to see them huddle as a team after the session. They were patting each other on the helmets. Hand and helmets in a huddle. Team unity. That’s what it will take.

From the press side of things, Dave Reardon had some news and notes from today’s practice, including some details about this Saturday’s “Warrior Bowl”, a play-by-play of today’s team session, injury news, etc.

The Advertiser had video about the walk-ons trying to make the team.

And Chawan Cut had a compilation of tonight’s news broadcasts.
