If you’re a football coach, whether in high school, Pop Warner, flag football, etc., then April 19th is your chance to learn from Greg McMackin and the UH football coaching staff. Here are some details from the UH Athletics department:

University of Hawai`i head football coach Greg McMackin and his coaching staff will conduct a football coaching clinic Saturday, April 19 at the UH Athletics Complex. The clinic is open to all football coaches at a cost of $10.

Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and includes instructional sessions conducted by the assistant coaches throughout the day. Participants are invited to watch the Warriors’ practice at 3:30 p.m. Lunch and post-practice refreshments will be provided.

“We’re encouraging all high school and Pop Warner coaches to attend,” McMackin said. “This is our first clinic and what we’re trying to do is instill the basic fundamentals of coaching. We have a great staff and those attending will learn a lot from them.”

Coach Mack told the media that he wants to not only teach technique, schemes and systems, but to get to know coaches in the local football community, and let them see the type of program they have at UH.
