I agree, actually. But he will make the trip downunder. Anything could happen then and there. Hopefully, though, no one gets sick or eats something that disagrees with them.uhwarriors wrote:Very unlikely with the depth at WR and SB:madeinhawaii wrote:Kumoku Noa

So did he start as a Freshman? You say TOEMATO, I say toomato.... OMG, Where's TW when we really need him!!uhwarriors wrote: Pretty good suggestion. Had to look it up. Estes was a four year starter but did redshirt in 2005.

Re: Will true freshman play this year?
The question was who will play as a true freshman. Since Estes redshirted as during his true freshman year, he first played as a redshirt freshman.Mr.EDGE808 wrote:So did he start as a Freshman? If I didn't know any better....this sounds like a lawyer argument...redshirted freshman, greyshirt freshman, green-shirted Freshman....like I said, where's TW when we really needed him?uhwarriors wrote: The question was who will play as a true freshman. Re: Will true freshman play this year?
John Estes, Samson Satele, Tala Esera, Tui Eli, Elijah Tupai & John Wa'a all started games on the OLINE as RS Frosh.
Ben Clarke & Dejon Allen started as true frosh but they were a year out of HS due to grayshirting
Blake Muir started as a true frosh but was 4 years out of HS.
Last season Eperone Moananu didn't start, but got some playing time on the Oline as a True Frosh
As mentioned above by Redzone, the last True Frosh straight out of HS to start on the Oline was Jeremy Inferrera out of St Louis c/o 2003

Re: Did any of the true freshmen play?
Looking at the box score seems like a few players participated in the game maybe just never were thrown to or never had a defensive stop.
Definitely seen Pritchard on a few plays. But the box score said Davine Tullis, Keala Santiago, Kalakaua Timoteo, Kaimana Padello and Viane Moala all got participation points.

Saw alot of jeremiah pritchard. Thats good they got some experience.
Freshmen.
I was wondering if any of the true freshmen played and arent eligible to redshirt??
Jeremiah pritchard ive seen quite a bit of him, i think i seen kalen hicks, gonna assume freddie holly will redshirt.
Wondering about zach wilson, SCHEYENNE SANITOA, MYKAL TOLLIVER, IKEM OKEKE, KINGJAMES TAYLOR, VIANE MOALA, ISAAC LIVA, COLE CARTER, JOEY NU'UANU-KUHI'IKI, TAAGA TUULIMA, WESLEY FAAGAU, LA'AKEA LOOK, TYRUS TUIASOSOPO
The ones i was really curious about though was DAVINE TULLIS, KAIMANA PADELLO, KALAKAUA TIMOTEO, KEALA SANTIAGO

Re: Freshmen.
The true freshmen who have been credited with participating are Jeremiah Pritchard (started vs Michigan), Viane Moala, Kaimana Padello, Keala Santiago (Cal game only), Kalakaua Timoteo, Davine Tullis, and Zach Wilson.
Holly should redshirt. Hawaii is deep at RB this year but loses Harris, Lakalaka, and Davis to graduation this year. He will split reps with Saint Juste as a RS Frosh next year. The other names you listed look to be RS candidates.

Re: Freshmen.
Sad part is out best linebacker could end up being a freshman.

Re: Freshmen.
Michigan played something like 17 freshman in the game. Per Phil Steele's mag, they have an awesome recruiting class. Impressed with Jeremiah Pritchard so far.

Re: Freshmen.
Saw Timoteo early in the game against Michigan. I dunno how well he stacks up in the college DI level, but he still is probably one of our better receivers, but wish he would redshirt since we have so much "depth" out there.
Re: Freshmen.
Jeremiah Pritchard is the real deal
