2016 Hawaii vs Michigan Pregame Thread

Post by BigWave96744 »

Wolverines quest for a National Title start with Hawaii..
more money has been placed on the Wolverines to win in all than any other team, and their national title odds have risen from 15-to-1 to 7-to-1.

 Man, we got to start scheduling more medium-difficulty P5 programs. More Washington State's and Oregon State's, less national title contenders. It's possible to schedule money games and also still have a shot to win. Early lines for this game are in the 40s!!!

Hawaii can match Appalachian State straight up between the two. Understand,Appy State played Michigan one year and beat them.
Don't be concerned about playing and beating Appalachian State, be concerned about being like ASU......play and beat a big name school on your schedule that has won national titles but isn't as good as that this year when you play them. Then enjoy the giant killer stories that will fill the papers and airwaves.

For every App State over Michigan, there are 10,000 beat downs. Considering the record breaking travel, I just want to emerge from that game relativity healthy. I remember BYU coming back broken after playing that Harbaugh team.

should have made my post clearer, i am not asking if hawaii can match up against appalachia state.

rather, can hawaii match appalachia state's win at michigan?

Harbaugh is probably one big reason that the 49ers were a success. Before that it was Stanford University. You can expect a big score for Michigan against Hawaii. Hawaii has a better chance against the likes of Cal.

money line bets are straight up, no points given, you are betting that your pick will win the game outright. the current money line, if you can find a casino that will book it, is:
hawaii +28000
michigan -77000

+28000 means that every $100 bet pays off $28,000 if hawaii wins. so, a $100 money line bet on hawaii wins $28,000 plus you get your original bet of $100 back.

-77000 means that you need to put down $77000 on michigan to win for every $100 won. you would get your $100 winnings plus your original $77000 bet back.

not sure about the minimum. i'm not a gambler man either, but, when hawaii is listed with high "+" returns i like to bet in $100 units to keep the math straight.

Hawaii cannot win against Michigan.
It could put on a good show as it has done against MSU, ASU, WU, WSU, BYU, and others.
It could win...just not under these circumstances.
