Create schemes that adapt to the talent you have. Rolovich will bring knowledge and experience in both R&S and pistol. I don't expect him to be locked into any particular scheme. But it will be all centered around the QB.

Initially an offense that suits the players he has, something Chow didn't do. Then eventually moved into a pistol RNS type.

Rolo uses a tightend. He killed us with his tightend. He learned the pistol from the grumpy guru so that will be his base offense. It is what he has been doing at Nevada. He will change up his offense to suit his personnel. He will also listen to what his other coaches have to say so I don't think he will micro-manage the way that Chow did. What I can't wait to see is his coaching hires. He must have a plan. Will be interesting to see if he will be retaining any of the current staff.

A more balanced offense with a lot of crossing routes and more screen passes sorta WCO'ish in the Pistol formation. I see Beau Reily as Rolovich's QB, but of course I bet Rolovich will look to the veteran Woolsey. smh. But most of all I think we'll see overall better play calling, maybe a little more aggressive than we've seen.

Spring will be interesting. I see more production from our tightends. Rolo will coach up our quarterbacks. That is why Ault brought him to Nevada.

Spread offense. They might give it a name for brand purposes, but it will be a spread. Everyone uses elements of the R&S and pistol. EVERYONE. Whatever Rolo does, it won't be anything unique.

I'm guessing Rolo will run the pistol offense with having Paul Harris and Melvin Davis at RB. The offense will be a run heavy pistol offense with a mobile QB like Woolsey or Riley. Plus, the Pistol uses a Tight End which Hawaii has on the roster and the Hawaii O line will be much better next season. I don't see Rolo going Run-n-Shoot pass happy offense with the group of WR we have then can't catch a cold learning from Luke Matthews the past few years.
