Mililani still the team to beat
Mililani still the team to beat
For people who only look at #s and scores you don't know football, first of all liberty went full house all the way, if they did that against St. Louis, the my wouldn't beat the crusaders too, they went spread for the most part against the crusaders, second Mililani was missing there middle backer and two d linemen due to injury, Mililani will make changes after this, they have a great coaching staff, and will move guys around, maybe seeing slots and Recievers playing both ways, nobody will stop the Trojans, the only way to beat the Trojans is if you can score 60-70 points on them, which liberty did, the Trojans may get scored on but can you out score them, I don't think any team can besides St. Louis or punahou, but offensively the Trojans has the best offense hands down, Milton, timateo, malepeai, Ventura, and Sallas, no one will stop them , pick ur poison
Re: Mililani still the team to beat
I too think mililani is the team to beat. This might be there last and only chance to win another state championship. You have a point that teams need to out score mililani to win the thing is st.Louis and punahou can light up the score board too and they both have tough defense. Last year mililani had a tough D and still couldn't stop punahou from scoring and now with no defense how there going to stop punahou from scoring.

You sound like your still jet lag. Not looking at numbers but looking how Mililani's defense is not good. Liberty went to the spread because of St Louis front 7. Not the same 7 you saw at the SCRIMMAGE. IF THEY WERE THAT GOOD they would have scored more than Liberty. Don't make excuses. They are not the team to beat. Kahuku will beat them. Get some rest and get ready for Aiea.

Re: Mililani still the team to beat
Time will tell. Trojans def hav one of the most explosive offenses. After this year, who knows what they got (maybe recruit the father and son from Kapolei. ..lol)
Crusaders look pretty good though.
Not sure just how good Puns are yet.
Big Red is much improved over last year, i would say D is just as good if not better than last year. Next couple of games will give a little better idea as far as identity.

LMAO @realist
I won't be able to outscore them but I know St Louis can and btw Kahuku don't need speed because their defense will stop the offense that couldn't outscore Liberty who only moved the ball on St Louis in the third quarter when all the 2's and 3's went in. Like I said you still sound like your jet lag. At least you guys got go to the casino and made the trip worth it.

Re: Mililani still the team to beat
IMHO Mililani has the best offense in the state, but their defense is lacking. They are not very deep on defense and you see a big drop off after their 1st string. I think a really good defense can keep the Trojans around 30-35 points and an excellent defense can keep them around 20-25 points. Can Kahuku put up 20-35 points on Mililani's Defense? We will see in the OIA final. That is as long as they get passed Waianae and Farrington. Remeber last year, Kahuku kept the Trojans to 20 points and shut-out Timoteo, zero catches for zero yards.Realist wrote:Yeah u right, Mililani d ain't that good, I give u that, but my point is they have the best offense in the state, can u out score them, and as far as kahuku, they ain't got speed like liberty lol, there o is horrible, try and out score Mililani, then maybe you'll have a chance just maybe

Agree. Both Waianae and Farrington look dangerous. Definitely can't look past them or take them for granted.

waian an farr are not playing at top tier level, if those 3 or 4 elite palyers from there district dont leave them to go play at ilh or mill/kapolei then physically they can be contendor in oia but right now mill n kahu has too much talent = too strong mentaly n physicaly n playing on differnt level. wathcing waian n far play the past two weeks they look like papwarner compared to watching mill n kahu play.

Incorrect....vs. St. Louis it was apparent Liberty didn't go into a Full House because they were "afraid" of St.Louis front 7....St. Louis front is still a work in progress. I think Liberty just game planned well vs. Mililani with the intent of getting a win after a tough loss the following week. It was a great example of coming up with a sound game-plan, sticking with it, and coming away with a victory for Liberty. Mililani only gets better with a loss, it would have been better for everyone else if Mililani skated through that game, instead, they collect valuable film to teach, learn, and adjust...
The season will get more exciting with the unveiling of the true pecking order in the ILH!!

Re: Mililani still the team to beat
mil defense get run over all season, there is no fix for that,
there lbs are too weak to stop run and there best lb waas not play against liberty but he from kahuku olomua kid
dbs are too short n weak to stop a good pass team, there best db is too short and weak and he not even live mililani,
there bestdline was play in liberty game but him to live waipahui so that teels u how lacking the talent is in mililani
no look good for them against kahuk/stloui/puns, even farr might knock um off by just being physical
and last year kahu n farr defense prvoe that mill ofense can be held to under 25pts

Re: Mililani still the team to beat
See Realist is a newbie registered poster. Okay, on Oahu, Mililani played Campbell (0-5) McKinley (0-4) and Kapolei ( 2-3). The scrimmages were scrimmages, nothing more. Aiea,Kailua and Farrington are next. Injuries are a big part of success. These next teams are hitters. If York keeps his 1's in all game, with a 4 TD lead, that would be foolish. Forget about the passing records and the rushing records. Use your 2's and 3's for experience. Most important, keep your starters injury free. Then maybe, yes maybe Mililani may make it to the finals.Realist wrote:For people who only look at #s and scores you don't know football, first of all liberty went full house all the way, if they did that against St.

Btw, I am a St. Louis grad, and proud alumni, St. Louis vs Mililani would be a shoot out no doubt, I just think Mililani has the better offense, , Mililani has more weapons, crusaders receiving core ain't as good as the Trojans, that's just my opinion, but in the end, would love to see that match up
