Juan Pablo Montoya often has said that his three Team Penske teammates pose the most formidable competition in the Verizon IndyCar Series.

In the closing laps of the 99th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race, that proved to be the case.

Montoya, who won the race 15 years earlier in his first start, held off reigning Verizon IndyCar Series champion and teammate Will Power
by .1046 of a second -- the fourth-closest finish in race history -- in a thrilling battle over the final 15 laps that also included pole sitter and
2008 race winner Scott Dixon. Five of the 37 lead changes occurred in those 15 laps following a restart, with Montoya overtaking Dixon in Turn 1
for second place and Power in Turn 4 to lead Lap 197 by .0420 of a second.

DETROIT -- Carlos Munoz earned his first Verizon IndyCar Series victory while on pit lane at the Raceway at Belle Isle Park.

Severe weather prompted a red flag with 47 of 70 scheduled laps of Race 1 of the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit presented by
Quicken Loans on the 2.35-mile, 14-turn street course completed, and the race was called after a 20-minute wait.

Munoz, 23, joins Carlos Huertas and Josef Newgarden as Verizon IndyCar Series race winners born in the 1990s, and he joins
Newgarden as a first-time winner this season. There have been six different winners in the seven races, and for the second
consecutive race the winner is a native of Colombia. Juan Pablo Montoya won the 99th Indianapolis 500 Mile Race on May 24.

DETROIT -- Sebastien Bourdais held off Takuma Sato over the final three laps of Race 2 of the Chevrolet
Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans to collect his 33rd Indy car victory.

The fuel was set up when a red flag was displayed on Lap 65 of the scheduled 70-lap race as the
Holmatro Safety Team cleaned up debris from an incident involving Team Penske teammates Will Power
and Helio Castroneves, who made contact in Turn 2 of the 14-turn, 2.35-mile street circuit on a restart.

INDYCAR called for a timed race, and Bourdais -- whose No. 11 Team Mistic E-Cigs KVSH Racing Chevrolet
was low on fuel -- had 2 minutes, 50 seconds left to defend.

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Scott Dixon made his victory in the Firestone 600 look easy, though the three-time
Verizon IndyCar Series champion said it was one of the most hotly-contested and unpredictable in recent
memory at Texas Motor Speedway.

Dixon led 97 of the 248 laps in the No. 9 Energizer EcoAdvanced Chevrolet to earn his second victory of the
Verizon IndyCar Series season and his second at Texas Motor Speedway in the fast-paced race on the 1.455-mile,
high-banked oval.

The 191.940 mph average speed set a track race record, which was aided by a lone caution for debris.

TORONTO -- Maybe a 1-2 CFH Racing finish in the Honda Indy Toronto will pave over recent disappointing
Verizon IndyCar Series results.

Josef Newgarden, who started 11th in the No. 67 Hartman Oil Chevrolet, led teammate Luca Filippi across
the start-finish line by 1.4485 seconds in the exciting 85-lap race on the 1.755-mile, 11-turn Exhibition
Place street circuit.

It was the second victory this season and the second of Newgarden’s four-year Verizon IndyCar Series career.
