Stadium

Post by browndog »

I brought this up last year after the first game too.
The food at the stadium sucks. I think its worst than last year!
Can someone tell me why they cannot attract better vendors?

Just read some of the UW message board stuff, out of curiosity-One poster briefly commented about Aloha Stadium being a bad experience, too. Not just about the game 'cause he compared it with Wash St.'s(?) stadium. Personally, I've never been there, so can't read into what (s)/he means, but when the poster said not to go to Aloha Stadium again,...chances are, must mean it's the stadium experience. Aloha Stadium better get their act together in everything that needs improvement 'cause it's one thing if Hawaii fans complain, at least word, for the most part, stays home. But, if opposing team's fans say something,... (remember how the Fresno fans complained about "bad sportsmanship" back in '07? word got out quick on that one.)

I didn't see any fights in the crowd or parking lot. Not like 2007, the last time UDUB came to town

did anyone else notice that there were less vendors hawking food in the stands? I did not see anyone come by selling pizza or steinlager or anything else other than popcorn and cotton candy (or that's what was going on in the South endzone, anyway). I thought that was odd...

Prices are ridiculous for everything in the stadium. Not worth spending money over it. We tailgated, so throughout the entire game, the hunger and thirst was kicking in. As soon as we went out back to the tailgating, it was like a pack of Lions in Africa feasting on it's meal, lol. Sure was worth the wait though.

Supposedly the Na Koa people had a talk with the police and things should be better this week.

And since when has food at the stadium been reasonable? Go to any other stadium or airport or amusement park, the food is not very good and the prices outrageous.

Thanks for the update Irse.
I should be flying in for the UH vs Beaver game. I eat before and after the game - though the garlic fries were not bad. Couldn't find boiled peanuts.
Side note: Watching this Defense is bringing back good memories of years back. Hard hitting. Just need a turnover or two and we'd have beaten the Huskies!

I heard people lined up to buy tickets and the processing were so slow that many missed most if not all of the 1st quarter? Is that true?

Instead of building a new stadium I think they should just use that money into improving ALOHA STADIUM.
Make the experience more fan friendly. It doesn't help that they closed down a parking area because of the rail.
