UH should offer the Tavai Brothers.. Justus signs NLI

Post by BigWave96744 »

These brothers got some great genes.

Mustangs’ Tavai brothers follow a football family legacy
by Jim Leinonen Aug 27, 2015 '

Justus (left) and Jonah (right) Tavai lead the Mustangs’ defense this season. They have three older brothers who played for Mira Costa.
.
.
.
J.R. is the most successful of the brothers. He played from 2008-10 and was the CIF Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010. He finished up his career with USC last year. Morrow and several friends went to see him play against Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego Dec. 28. USC won 45-42 and Tavai played the whole game. He was not drafted, but signed on with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent and is doing well in camp.
.
.
.
But it was Jordan who started it all when he played on the varsity from 2008-10 and was a starter all three years. He went on to play junior college football at El Camino and finished playing NCAA Division I football at Kansas.

Jahlani was All-CIF when he played in 2012-13 at nose guard like J.R. and also was a tight end.
He signed with the University of Hawaii and red-shirted his first season. He is a defensive end and outside linebacker with the Rainbow Warriors.
.
.
.
Also, there is still one more Tavai looking to play varsity at Mira Costa. Little brother Jaggar, who is 10, plans to wear green and gold in a few years.

Jahlani's got game for the Warriors and looks to be a strong contributor in the next couple or three years. Always good to have a family connection in the recruiting wars, although there is never a guarantee that younger siblings will matriculate to the same school. One older one went to USC, the other to Kansas.

Justus hasn't signed yet but is leaning toward the PAC12.

Jonah is a force on the defensive line, plays some running back and can kick and punt if needed. He's versatile like J.R. and strong and bulky like Jordan, rather than leaner like Jahlani or Justus.

"What they all have in common is an unrelenting motor on the defensive line," Morrow said. "Chasing balls down from sideline to sideline."

Justus and Jahlani could be like Al and Niko of the Noga family. 31 and 32 could be as great as 54 and 44.

Shrek2 - yeah I hope we get um. Even if they're close to the impact the three Noga brothers (Falaniko, Al, and Pete) made it would be impressive. The Nogas are Warrior folklore.

Jonah is an unbelievable player with the ability to eventually play on the United States National Team. Not only is Jonah a big, physical and extremely fast player, but he also possesses a vast knowledge of the game which makes him a force that is feared by the opposition.”

If Rolo wants a remote chance of signing Jonah, he best be offering Justus as Defensive Tackle JC transfer. Let just say, those in the know, know.....
