UH Baseball lineup???

Post by Egonator »

Warrior Narion,
Did anyone see the alumni game? If so who were the starters for UH? And how is our pitching rotation going to look like? I really wish someone would post a preview or box score of the game

There's a short press release on the Hawaii Athletics website but no box score. Probably everyone played, so box score would be too long. Matt Cooper went 6 innings for the win, but can you tell the quality since it was against alumni (although some of the alumni are still active in the minors). Biggest question is if Arakawa and Jones can pitch effectively after last season's injuries. Torres-Costas is still rehabbing might be back for conference play, but they aren't going to rush him.

They play Oregon this weekend.

Alumni game was fun

"visitors" started Spangler on the mound. He wasn't ready. Not even close.
First 12 pitches, 2 were strikes? So much for promo time.
*none* of the big name alumi (big league now) players were there.
Treat of the night was Harry. Had more nasty stuff in his mitt
than any of the current 'Bows could handle. Dang shame they didn't
let him pitch about 4 more innings, he was in prime time and tossing
stuff i don't think MLB could hit. Still smiling, throwing nasty sh*t
like he is playing catch! Sure gonna' miss him.

Coop on the hill for UH started strong, stayed strong. Six plus innings
and even the "over the hill" gang didn't have much of an answer.

new 1B for UH looked good, Marcus Doi from MidPac. Best moment?
Marcus up with based loaded, he *cranks* a triple for 3 RBI's! Nice!
