2013 Summer League
2013 Summer League
Anyone hear anything about league play this year? I did find this: http://www.ncaa.org/wps/wcm/connect/ae0 ... c110a6426c
See page 5. At least they're still certified. But not having heard anything and the start date being listed as June 22 doesn't bode well.

Re: 2013 Summer League
According to Dayton Morinaga/Warrior Insider:
The only current UH player on the island right now is Dyrbe Enos, and he will play for the Solar Universe team.
Most of the other players from the 2013-14 Hawaii roster are expected to participate, although not until the second week of July (when the second session of summer classes at UH starts). The Hawaii players are spread among the six teams in the league.
All of the incoming recruits – Niko Filipovich, Stefan Jovanovich, Garrett Nevels, Quincy Smith, Michael Thomas and Negus Webster-Chan – are expected to join the league in the second week of July.

Hehe, I thought it was a little funny seeing John Lane listed as 6'0".

Re: 2013 Summer League
As stated above, Dayton Morinaga's site Warrior Insider dot com has a recap of the opening nite games. It was nice to see that Trevor Wiseman is in town for the summer and playing in the league. Shows that he has some aloha for Hawaii and came back this summer. He's playing Div 2 in California (I forget the name of the school? Cal State LA maybe?)...

im going to be very interested to see how Spearman has healed.
he was the biggest loss to our team late in the season.

On Dayton's website, in one of the articles, Jawato, Roztis and one other (forgot the name) weren't playing in the Summer League. Roztis, I can understand, already graduated, so no need go summer school, and home is so far away. Not sure on the others.

Re: 2013 Summer League
Per B. McInnis's Tizer Blog, Jawato is back and playing in the summer league. He was going to play in Indonesia this summer but that fell thru. Most UH players started playing this week. J. Sensley got in a scrap with one of the new UH players. And the refs called the game to calm things down. Read McInnis's blog for the details.

Re: 2013 Summer League
My friend has been going and said Sensley and Kawika Smith have been getting into fights in this league.
Last week Sensley cheap shot Spearman and couple other current Rainbow Warriors.
Refs seems to let things get out of hand. Next fight night is tonight

Re: 2013 Summer League
Anybody know how bad Issac Fotu's injury is? Heard on the news yesterday that he tore I think was a knee and was out of the summer league.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.
