So who are the future stars in Hawaii HS football
They just completed the The Nike Football Combines, 1/28, and you can find the results at this link. 453 players participated and were ranked.

Interesting players in the Top 50. Other then Savaiinaea and Kohler I don't know much about these guys. Not much speed at the skilled positions.

If these recruits are being recruited by other colleges then disregard.
I remember coach Mack complaining about his recruits being targeted as soon as UH tries to recruit them. So are you guys trying to mess things up for Norm Chow by giving this info to anyone who visits the site? Or are these recruits being recruited by mainland colleges already? Either way it would seem to me to be helping out other colleges who may visit this forum to find info like yours. Just saying.

biggest lie ever. these are the cream of the crop and are going to be targeted by BCS schools regardless. Chow is gonna try and win them over by building a relationship starting right now.HawaiianHogster wrote:If these recruits are being recruited by other colleges then disregard.

the coaches of the top programs know all about these programs. And alumni that are in the islands all pass info along.
In this day and age there aren't too many secrets. And rankings and stats are only one part of the assessment.
How they perform on the field is another indicator.

Re: So who are the future stars in Hawaii HS football
Anyone who pays attention to local high school football....including Pac-12 college recruiters...already know who the top Class of 2013 prospects are....since most of these kids have at least been part-time starters since their sophomore years.....like Manti Te'o was. Even the previous UH coaching staff was already well aware of most (if not all) of these kids from last summer since a few attended the Big Man's Camp and the Skill's Camp. Most of these kids have already been contacted by Pac-12 schools....as well as UH.HawaiianHogster wrote:If these recruits are being recruited by other colleges then disregard.

Not passing out any secrets here to the already well-informed Pac-12 recruiter....since I didn't list any sleeper prospects. Just sharing with the rest of us UH football fans....that might not follow local high school football.
Re: So who are the future stars in Hawaii HS football
Let me get this right; people think that football programs from BCS schools trawl fan blogs waiting for news on potential recruits and then on that basis swoop in a offer said prospect a scholarship?
Equally fatuous, the notion that programs with an eye on the state of Hawaii wait until seeing who UH offers and then swoop in with a counter offer, c'mon give these schools SOME credit for their own investigation and assessment schemes on prospects. Besides, the schools might be the same but the coaches who recruit forever change, its not the same UW, WSU, Oregon and Cal every year.... same brand different coaches, different recruiting styles.
It does sound like 2013 is going to be quite a year on the recruiting scene in Hawaii. If Coach Chow is able to do ANYTHING recruiting wise locally its going to be next year.

Ask me again next month and more will be clearer. One thing is for sure, its going to be harder for UH to recruit in Australia in the future. Had our first local player sign with an ACC school this week and schools from the ACC and PAC 12 are coming down to Australia to recruit in 2012.

You guys do such a thorough job of the recruits it had me worried a little bit. I do agree that other colleges are recruiting Hawaii now more than ever before so if there are several great recruits they already know who they are.

2013 Top Prospects
Congratulations to Reeve Kohler (Saint Louis) and Isaac Savaiinaea (Punahou) for making the list on Rivals top 250 recruits in the country. Pretty impressive that two boys from the island are this highly ranked. Of course, it's not how you start but rather how you finish.

http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/co ... ID=1328942Saint Louis' Koehler listed as the nation's top guard
By Ferd Lewis
POSTED: 01:30 a.m. HST, Feb 09, 2012
Reeve Koehler of Saint Louis School has been named the top college football prospect in the nation at offensive guard for 2013 by Rivals.com.
Koehler, a 6-foot-3, 280 pounder, was listed at No. 67 among the Rivals.com Top 100 players overall in the country for 2013 announced today.
Hawaii, Washington and Utah are listed among the schools already recruiting Koehler.
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/r ... /rank-3053Honolulu (Hawaii) St. Louis offensive lineman Reeve Koehler is the nation's No. 1 guard and checks in at No. 67 overall.
"The thing I like most about Koehler is he dominates on every snap and really makes it known by his play that he's not going to give an inch to anybody. Koehler has great size, most of his film is at offensive guard, but he can move well enough to play tackle as well," said Gorney of the 6-foot-3, 280-pounder. "Really, the best thing about him is he doesn't just like moving people out of the way. Koehler gets his hands on people and moves them where he wants."

Re: So who are the future stars in Hawaii HS football
jus got word that UH offered a scholarship to AIEA DE UALESI SALE. he's also getting recruited from numerous Pac-12 schools, but UH is the first to offer him a full ride. he would be a great addition to the Warriors. he has the height, speed, and motor to be a great pass rusher at the next level. jus gotta bulk up a little. Sale and Correa are the best defensive ends in the 2013 class and it would be huge if UH can snag these 2.
