The Lego car looks fun and full of whimsy, sure, but like all Lego creations I can't help but feel it had a few extra, yet important pieces lying around when the builder finished.

The 23-foot-long Lego USS Intrepid aircraft carrier should be renamed the USS Insane. It's the largest Lego ship ever built. Ed Diment made it to minifig scale, complete with Wildcat and Corsair airplanes built by Ralph Savelsberg.

You know how the cutscenes in the LEGO Star Wars games are funnier and more charming than the actual movies they're based on (especially the prequels)? Here's one long LEGO Star Wars cutscene, re-telling the story of episodes IV-VI.

It's been made by Danish advertising firm M2FILM, and is the latest in their series of shorts for LEGO (the toys, not the game) that have been coming out since last year.

Our friend Powerpig hadn't meant to do any more Lego Christmas tree ornaments, but apparently he couldn't resist this slightly-evil bauble: A DEATH STAR tree garnish. His website shows you how to make your very own.

Legoland California's General Manager Peter Ronchetti has a Volvo XC60. At least until a couple days ago someone decided to use a lift fork to switch it to a life-sized, 2,934-pound Lego XC90 made of 201,076 bricks.

Lego 'crew' flies along on mission to Jupiter

Three Lego figurines representing the Roman god Jupiter, right, his wife Juno, middle, and
Galileo Galilei are flying to Jupiter on NASA’s Juno spacecraft.

They have launched aboard the space shuttle, visited the space station and flown to Mars. Now, three more "very special" Lego figurines are flying to Jupiter with NASA's Juno spacecraft. The specially constructed Lego Minifigures are of the Roman god Jupiter, his wife Juno, and "father of science" Galileo Galilei. The Lego crew's mission is part of the Bricks in Space project, the joint outreach and educational program developed as part of the collaboration between NASA and the Lego Group to inspire children to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

"NASA has a long-standing partnership with the Lego company," Scott Bolton, principal investigator for the Juno mission and space science and engineering director at the Southwestern Research Institute in San Antonio, said in a news conference on Wednesday. "Any of you that have children know that Legos are very popular with kids, as well as really helps teach them about building and engineering."
