American Idol: Only 1 Judge Signed and Auditions in 2 Weeks! YIKES!


Mariah Carey (above) is the only judge on American Idol so far!

(TMZ) Oh boy! American Idol is in trouble with auditions coming up in 2 weeks and only 1 judge, Mariah Carey, has officially signed their in some kind of predicament. The suits want 4 judges because they believe 1 woman and two men won't work.

That means, the producers of American Idol are gonna' get desperate and will be at the mercy of the people they are tryin to sign. Nicki Minaj was penciled in as 99% percent certain but she hasn't signed squat yet! Country star Keith Urban is the new one on the horizon but he hasn't signed anything either. Joe Jonas was another possibility but no signing yet.

Before you know it, we'll have Joe the Cable guy, somebody from Food Network, and Andrew Zimmerman from the Travel Channel joining Mariah on the AI panel. Yikes!

Heck, Mariah wouldn't mind if she was THE ONLY ONE!

(TMZ) Woah! We may have been premature to call John Mayer and Katy Perry in splitsville when the two showed up together at an L.A. restaurant last night.

The two didn't show any emotion when they were approached by paparazzi at the Little Door restaurant.

So London oddsmakers are at it again wondering how long this relationship will last. Oh, it's not because of Katy Perry mind you but it's because of Mayer that London is working so hard to place the odds.

(TMZ) Oh my! Jessica Simpson went on the "hype-machine" a few months back proclaiming that she was going to go on the Weight Watchers diet and appear "fit and trim" on September 10 when she appears on the new Katie Couric talk show.

From the looks of it, she's in trouble. We can understand the weight gain from a pregnancy but promoting yourself to lose all the weight with a deadline might be asking for trouble.

Jessica said that she's been having trouble running because her boobs are too big. Uh, there's walking, you know.

She has a Hollywood trainer but she refuses to run . . . making it all difficult to lose weight.

Well, she has 5 days until September 10 to look skinny and all. Just be safe and try to lose the weight, Jessica.

Eddie Van Halen's Near-Brush with Death!



(Radaronline) The press may have not gotten' wind that Eddie Van Halen's recent illness was a combination of having diverticulosis and a master cleansing diet that resulted in an explosion in his intestines. The cayenne-based diet aggravated Eddie's colon and caused an explosion that resulted in severe pain for the guitarist, who thought he was going to die.

His ex-wife Valarie Bertinelli was by his side when he was admitted to the hospital. Although Eddie has remarried, they are extremely close and she was at his side during the whole ordeal.

The diet which is a combination of water, lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper and Eddie's lack of nutrition, the high spice levels, and having diverticulosis caused the legendary guitarist to endure severe pain which caused Doctors to struggle to save his life. Doctors would later find his bowel leaking into his abdomen.

So far, Doctors said Eddie is doing well and no further surgeries are required.

"ALOHA FRIDAY" (September 7, 2012) stories developing. . . . .

MTV Video Music Awards, One Direction Wins Big, "Love Triangle" (Rihanna, Chris Brown, Drake) Also Wins!


The "Love Triangle" of (left to right) Chris Brown, Rihanna, and Drake (above) won their awards last night at the VMAs!

(NY TIMES) The MTV Video Music Awards didn't have any scandalous moments like in years past and for the 2 hours with just 6 awards given' out, it went on without a hitch. Host Kevin Hart tapered his standup comedy way down to host the show, trying to add some humor to the current events in pop culture (especially about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson), but at least the show tried to make an attempt to have more music than anything else. Like we always said, the show is usually a platform for these artist, nothing more.

As for the awards, which was secondary, the "love triangle" group of Rihanna, Chris Brown, and Drake won most of the awards with Nicki Minaj getting hers. The rest of the awards were one by the British boy-band One Direction, much to the disappointment of rival band The Wanted.


England's One Direction (above) was the other big winner at the VMAs.

Rihanna won "Video of the Year" for "We Found Love." Chris Brown won "Best Male Video" with "Turn up the Music." Drake won "Best Hip Hop Video" with "HYFR." Nicki Minaj won for "Best Female Video" with her ridiculous "Starships."

One Direction, the band founded on X-Factor Great Britain by Simon Cowell, took the night's remaining awards with "Best Pop Video" for "What Makes You Beautiful" and the "Best New Artist" award.

Overall, the music numbers were well-produced and the awards show felt "rushed." Everything else was commercials by Fergie and Lady Gaga, fluff, and basically nothing else.

What may be scandalous was seen off-camera when Rihanna greeted former boyfriend and convicted domestic violence guy Chris Brown with a hug-and-kiss that didn't go unnoticed by the crowd at the L.A. Staples center. Oh well, if they do get back together again, Rihanna can't say that "we didn't warn her."

The night ended with Taylor Swift singing her country pop anthem "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together," putting this puppy mercifully to bed.

Prince Harry Deployed to Afghanistan to Getaway from the Spotlight!


Prince Harry is in Afghanistan on a 4-month tour of duty (above). Royal Family insists they have nothing to do with it!

(TMZ) The British military (not the Royal Family) had Prince Harry deployed to Afghanistan where he will be a helicopter co-pilot and gunner, and is expected to spend 4 months there.

The Royal family insists that it wasn't there idea to send Harry to Afghanistan, it was all the military's doing. After all, his disappearance for 4 months will certainly help the public forget Harry's debacle in Las Vegas where he was found to be partying nakked with girls, drinking, and goodness knows whatever they do over there. Drugs were found too but although witnesses vow that Harry wasn't involved in it, the public was in an uproar that the future Prince was in the hotel suite where the drugs were discovered!

Nonetheless, all this will disappear during Harry's service and the Royal Family can't believe the timing of it all.

Hopefully, the Prince will be out of "harm's way" while he's at it.

Blake Lively's Secret to a "Banging Body"--Cupcakes!



(Radaronline) It's hard to believe what Blake Lively (TV's Gossip Girl, The Town, Green Lantern) said in her interview with Marie Claire that "cupcakes" are partly responsible for her amazing body! She also added that being "25 years-old" also helps in being fit-and-trim.

Her gorgeous look is indeed classic and she'd fit in with "Mad Men" or any period film from the 50s and 60s. Yet her style is contemporary and trendy. As to how she stays in shape, it's hard to believe cupcakes have something to do with it!

The attractive actress said that she's a "total foodie" and she has an obsession with cooking and baking.

Oh well, the way to a man's heart (BF Ryan Reynolds) is his stomach, definitely.

In her interview, Blake revealed that her house doesn't have any memorabilia from her career and you wouldn't know it was her home by the look of her kitchen which is filled with cooking utensils, and pots-and-pans.

Monday (September 10, 2012) stories developing. . . . .

"The Possession" Wins the Worst Box-Office Weekend in a Decade!



(EW) In what was described as the worst box-office in a decade, "The Possession" won the weekend with a paltry $9M and a total combined of the all the movies with a miserable $51.9M. That was the second worst box office since September 5-7 2008 when "Bangkok Dangerous" won the weekend with $7.7M. This weekend's showing was the worst since two weeks after 9/11 in 2001, which was understandable.

However, this weekend, was NOT where the public went, is what we can say about that.

Did College Football and Pro Football over the weekend do some serious damage to the theaters. Makes you wonder?

In second place was "Lawless" a period film starring Shia Lebouf that earned a pathetic $6M. Coming in a dismal third was the new film "The Words" starring Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana which earned $5M.

Rounding out the top 5 were rehashes with "The Expendables" earning $4.7M and "Bourne Legacy" with $3.9M.

New films like "Branded" and "Bachelorette" didn't make a dent in the top 10 or top 20 for that matter. Overall, it was a weekend box-office that the film industry wanted to forget and hopefully never duplicates again in the near future.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Tie the Knot!



(TMZ) Ryan Reynolds, 35, snagged another hot woman to be his wife in the form of "Gossip Girl" and "Green Lantern" co-star Blake Lively, 25, at the Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina.

The two had been dating for one year. Blake had dated Leonardo DiCaprio prior to meeting Ryan. Ryan had been married to Scarlett Johansson before he was linked to numerous other women and then to Blake.

The two certainly make a handsome couple and as to why Ryan wants to marry so quickly after Scarlett is a little bit of a surprise. At one point, there was talk about the two of them rekindling their romance after Scarlett started sending Ryan some naughty pictures of herself. However, that rumor died down quickly when she went out with Sean Penn and several men after that.

At least, Ryan can stop hiding from the paparazzi from now on since he and Blake are already married.

As for Blake, it's her first marriage. She was linked to Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley but they broke off after being together for 3 years.

The Mystery of the Yangtze River Turning Blood Red



(Yahoo) China's longest river, the Yangtze river, has turned blood red and Chinese officials as well as International officials do not know the reason why. Scientists have ruled out "red tide" but some say it could be color-producing bacteria, similar to a phenomena that occured at a Texas lake. Many environmental officials point to the constant industrial pollution that has engulfed the river but cannot pinpoint exactly what it is.

Another theory from Chinese officials point to red-colored clay-like soil that have slid into the river from landslides. While some investigators blame the color on industrial dye which was traced back to a factory that uses dyes for firework wrappers but they speculate the spillage must be so large to cover the Yangtze.

The river began to turn tomato juice red on Friday at the same time that twin earthquakes rocked the Southwest region of China.

Many in the public and religious groups believe that it is a sign of the "end of the world."

Whatever the case, Chinese officials are embarrassed and are looking for a quick solution to clean up a major stain in China.

(TMZ) "Today Show" has been overtaken by "Good Morning America" (GMA) and the show reached a new low when it bypassed the 9/11 moment of silence gesture by President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in favor of an interview with Kris Jenner, the leader of the Kardashian family!

Now, we've known the Today Show to be more entertainment-minded than news-oriented in the morning but what happened to their priority when it came to the "moment of silence?" GMA and CBS This Morning covered the White House but NOOOOO. . . Today Show went for a ratings-grab with a Kardashian!

(TMZ) According to TMZ, NBA baller Kris Humphries, who claimed he was not in contact with "friend" Myla Sinanaj, was photographed coming out of her New Jersey home on Tuesday after spending the night. The paps saw Kris' car outside her house the whole night until the early morning.

This is the same Kris Humphries who swore that he never told Myla about his divorce with Kim-K, while Myla said that she was NEVER pregnant with his baby even though she told everyone she was!

Oh well. If you're gonna' lie, at least talk to one another and have a "collaborative lie."

Macaulay Culkin: "A Sad and Lonely Figure"



(Radaronline) Hard to believe but former child star Macaulay Culkin is already 32 and once-dated Mila Kunis for years until their breakup last year. Since then, the "Home Alone" star hasn't been the same without Kunis and many suspect that he is addicted to heroine.

At the same time, one insider labeled the actor as a "sad and lonely figure" who is still trying to live his life in a "child-like manner." The source said that the actor likes to host dress-up parties where invitees come over as movie character or as a dinosaur.

His last acting gig was on NBC's short-lived series "Kings" (2009). He still gets scripts and reads for parts but the entertainment industry hasn't invited him back with open arms not just yet.

Monday (September 24, 2012) stories developing. . . . .

"End of Watch" and "House at the End of the Street" Tie for Top Spot at Weekend Box-Office!


Michael Pena (background) and Jake Gyllenhaal's "End of Watch" (above) finished in a tie with "House at the End of the Street" this past weekend!

(EW) Jake Gyllenhaal's "End of Watch" and Jennifer Lawrence's "House at the End of the Street" tied for the top spot at the Weekend box-office with a low $13M each in what is shaping up to be a miserable September at the movies.

With school, the heat in most places, and people working during the Fall, going to the movies is pretty much an afterthought these days. "End of Watch" and "House" are not considered titillating blockbusters so moviegoers are waiting for the 23rd installment of James Bond in "Skyfall" (November 9) and "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" (November 16). The other blockbusters like "The Hobbit," "Lincoln," "Django Unchained," "The Great Gatsby," and "Les Miserables" are coming in December.

In the meantime, "End of Watch" received a grade of "A-" from Cinemascore audiences and is more likely to have a better run at the theater than "House." The gritty Police-drama is getting good word-of-mouth.

In 3rd was Clint Eastwood's "Trouble with the Curve" earned $12.7M with a winning cast that includes Eastwood himself, Amy Adams, and Justin Timberlake. The drama earned a "B+" with Cinemascore audiences and is described as a feel-good film. In no way did Clint hurt himself at the Republican convention on this one since many of his audiences have learned to separate Clint the actor/director to Clint the Republican speaker to an "open-chair" guy.

Rounding out the top 5 was Disney's re-release of "Finding Nemo" but in 3D at #4 with $9.4M and "Resident Evil: Retribution" finishing with $6.7M.

Friends Fear Katy Perry is "Dangerously in Love" with John Mayer!



(Radaronline) Pop singer Katy Perry and singer John Mayer are "dangerous in love" and friends of Perry fear that the pop singer may end up in tears when they break up. The 27 year-old former Christian singer just broke up with Russell Brand and many feel that she doesn't deserve to be led on by the 34 year-old playboy guitarist before he drops her like he has with the others.

Friends already gauged Perry when she broke up with Mayer the first time, she was left devastated. They eventually got back together again but her associates fear the worst.

Even Family feels the same way and is not enamored with John like the way Katy is.

Many believe that Mayer charmed Perry by telling her "he was a changed man" after numerous breakups with other women. Perry's friends and family don't believe that line for a minute.

(Hollyscoop) New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez, 25, and Eva Longoria, 37, are already going house-hunting only after a few weeks together. Sanchez and Longoria were seen holding hands and looking at apartments together.

Sanchez has not acknowledged his relationship with Longoria while the former "Desperate Housewives" star admitted that the two are "just dating."

Sounds like their serious to me.

New Report May Expose the Reality Show "The Bachelorette!"


Jef Holm and Emily Maynard (above). "The Bachelorette" is rocked by a new scandal.

(Radaronline) A new report by Radaronline claims that the "The Bachelorette" duo of Emily Maynard and Jef Holm engagement is really a "business deal" rather than the real thing! Jef Holm's ex-girlfriend Kaylee Shepherd said that the engagement between Emily and Jef is a sham just so that they collect $150k. Shepherd said that the two made an agreement to keep up the charade in order to split the money.

Apparently, Jef left Shepherd to go on the show "The Bachelorette" while they were still "together." The former college student claims that the last time she heard from him, he was already engaged to Maynard. However, Kaylee said that Jef wasn't faithful to Maynard because Jef ended up seeing Kaylee once again in a sex romp weekend at a hotel. It was then that Jef confessed to Kaylee that the relationship he had with Maynard was fake and that he was only in it for the money.

He also confessed that Maynard and him agreed to hide inappropriate text messages from other partners in order to keep their relationship alive for the public so they could keep the cash.

Jef has been seeing Kaylee while Maynard is rumored to be seeing former USC quarterback Matt Leinart.

It is not clear if Jef and Kaylee are "still together" after she "spilled the beans" to Radaronline.

Legendary Singer Andy Williams Passes Away!



(TMZ) Legendary singer Andy Williams, 84, passed away last night at his home in Branson, Missouri after a year-long battle with bladder cancer.

The "Moon River" singer had 18 gold and 5 certified platinum albums. His classic hit is adorned on The Moon River theater where Andy performed with numerous guests that included Charo, Glen Campbell, Petula Clark, and Ann Margaret. The theater is famous for the 18 Japanese kimonos inside the venue that can seat up to 2,000 guests.

Andy Williams hosted the popular Andy Williams Show from 1962-1971 and was the principal host of the Grammy Awards from 1971-1977. For golfers, they remember him for hosting the Andy Williams tournament at Torrey Pines for 20 years (1968-1988).

The singer had been diagnosed with bladder cancer last year and lived in Los Angeles for a short time to undergo treatment before he returned to Branson.

Andy Williams is survived by his wife Debbie and his 3 children.

Friends and Family Believe Reconciliation of Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart Will FAIL!



(TMZ) Friends and family of Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart believe that the "Twilight couple" will fail at their reconciliation. News of their reconciliation shocked many who believed that Robert wasn't planning to "take back" Kirsten after she confessed that she had cheated on him with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" Director Rupert Sanders.

However, the latest news on Robert and Kirsten is that the reason the Twilight actor took back Kirsten is because she told him that she and the Director NEVER slept together and that they only "made out" on a few occassions. Rupert is believed to have told his wife Liberty Ross the same thing which has resulted in the married couple getting back together recently.

It was just weeks ago that Robert kicked out Kirsten from their Los Feliz home after he heard about the cheating scandal. Many believed that Rob wouldn't accept the Twilight actress back in his life since he felt so strongly about infidelity. As for the reconciliation, some fans believe that Kirsten is LYING so that she could reconcile with him while others believe that she wants to be with him in anticipation of their film "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" due out November 16.

Whatever the case, many fans are against Robert taking back "the cheating" Kirsten and believe that their reconciliation will be doomed.

Ahnold Releases Tell-All Book!



(Radaronline) Arnold Schwarzeggar is releasing his own tell-all book called "Total Recall: My Unbelievable True Story" coming out October 1. The book will follow an interview he gave on CBS "60 Minutes" on September 30. The ex-California Governor said that his ex-wife Maria Shriver has not read the book since it contains explosive revelations about his affair with the family housekeeper Mildred Baena.

Schwarzeneggar touches on the subject of his "love child" with his housekeeper and said that his affair "was stupid." He admitted that his cheating scandal inflicted a lot of pain on Maria and their children.

Nowadays, the former couple still see one another for the sake of the children. Maria is a freelance journalist and is an advocate for women issues while Arnold is trying to "jumpstart" his acting career. Arnold appeared in the recent film "Expendables 2" and will be making his first starring role in a film in "The Last Stand" due out January 18, 2013.

Royals Won't Sue British Tabloid for Nude Photos of Harry!



(Radaronline) The Royal family just released a statement that they will not sue the British tabloid THE SUN because Harry made a mistake and they'll just leave it at that . . . . . .

In the statement, the Royals said that what happened with Harry in the hotel room is private and should have stayed that way. It continued with . . . . Harry is off in Afghanistan serving his country and the thought of filing suit would detract from his military service.

So what is done is done.

The Royals won't sue THE SUN and hopefully the British public will just forget about the whole thing. They hope.

"Hotel Transylvania" Wins Weekend Box-Office with $43M!



(Box Office Mojo) "Hotel Transylvania" went No. 1 at the weekend box-office with an impressive $43M opening! The Adam Sandler-voiced animated film brought the box office to life after 3 miserable weekends in September. The Cinemascore audience loved it and gave it an "A-" for the family-friendly movie. The audience for HT was made up of 78% families!

In second, the Joseph Gordon-Leavitt/Bruce Willis action flick "Looper" brought in $21.2M. The film generated a buzz of excitement in social media but it didn't generate enough tickets for the film that should have earned Hotel Transylvania-like numbers. The film had rave reviews and Cinemascore audiences gave it a "B" overall. The studio is hoping that the original science-fiction film is just a slow-starter for now.

Third place went to "End of Watch" with $8M and Fourth went to Clint Eastwood's "Trouble with the Curve" with $7.5M.

No. 5 was Jennifer Lawrence's "House at the End of the Street" earning $7.15M

Maria Shriver Supporters Call Arnold's Interview on 60 MINUTES "Bulls**t!"



(TMZ) Arnold Schwarzenegger gave an interview on 60 MINUTES on Sunday to promote his book "Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Story" and said things that ex-wife Maria Shriver's supporters are saying was bulls**t! Maria's supporters are furious when the actor said that his ex-wife knew about him cheating with other women. The former champion bodybuilder said that she knew about his trysts with other women.

Maria's supporters said that what Arnold said were lies. They reasoned that Maria would NEVER defend him for groping women and for cheating on her.

The former California Governor is believed to be hyping up the promotion for his book October 1 Monday.

Maria has not commented on the book, which Arnold admitted she never read beforehand or knew about. The actor is famous for keeping secrets and Maria's supporters say that the former journalist is upset with her ex-husband.

Ashton Kutcher "Moving On" With Mila Kunis!



(Radaronline) Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have not announced that they are officially a couple but the paparazzi photos of them together is enough for the public to make that determination. The former "That 70's Show" co-stars have always had a "thing" with one another, said a source. It was only a matter of time when she broke up with Macaulay Caulkin and he split from Demi Moore that things came together.

The photos of the two are becoming more frequent as the latest sighting featured the two coming of out of a New York restaurant on a lunch date on September 17. Rumors of the couple moving in together have not been confirmed but that was the big news as of September 13.

Keep in mind, Ashton and Demi are still legally married since no papers have been filed. They are separated but no papers have been filed for that either. Many fans from both sides are questioning why Ashton and Demi have not pulled the trigger yet on a divorce. The couple will have to divide a reported $200M worth of property and assets.

"American Idol" Judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj "GO AT IT!"

(TMZ) World War 3 broke on the set of American Idol auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina when judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj went at it! Sources said that Carey nagged on Minaj until the the rapper/singer couldn't take it anymore and exploded at the high-octave singer.

The frustration stems from the two NOT liking one another in the first place and how Carey has a penchant for praising herself instead of critiquing the contestants. One source said that Carey constantly talks about how many records she's sold, the people's she's worked with, and how many tours she's gone on. It's sickening!

There was a rumor that things got so bad during the auditions that Minaj allegedly threatened to kill Carey! Since that report, the rapper/singer has denied she made any threats.

As for Ryan Seacrest, he was out of the equation when he was outside the doors of the audition area. He said he knows nothing of what went on.

However, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban were witnesses of the tussle and helped stop things before it went "out of hand."

In fact, Keri's friends are already warning the actress about Johnson's two-timing ways. Jessica said that the two plan to marry sometime next year but have not set a date yet.

(Hollyscoop) Hollywood was thinking that Stacy Keibler was in trouble when she tried on some engagement rings for a well-known jeweler and the paparazzi caught wind of it and took a photo of her. The beauty didn't mention marriage at all but because she tried on an engagement ring, everyone was thinking that Clooney, the anti-marriage advocate, would "dump her a**" for the stunt she just pulled.

Just last year, his ex-girlfriend Elisabeth Canalis talked about marriage to a tabloid and the next day, Clooney dumped her.

That innocuous photo of Keiber was days ago, but the couple showed up happy together at the "Argo" premiere! No sign of trouble in paradise from these two. Keibler wore a stunning backless dress that showed off her sexy figure while Clooney wore his signature uniform of black shirt, with coat and slacks. By the way, Clooney is the producer of the "Argo" which stars Ben Affleck and John Goodman.

He blew by the red carpet interviews but he escorted her into the theater.

The VOICE Cee Lo Says "American Idol" Catfight Between Minaj and Carey Was "FAKE!"



(Hollyscoop) Cee Lo, a judge on THE VOICE, said that the so-called "American Idol" catfight between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey was staged! He believes that he wouldn't be surprised if it was fake because everything seems to be "staged" in Hollywood nowadays.

THE VOICE is a competing show of American Idol and to hear it from the singer brought a sense of "games-manship" on the situation.

When reporters asked him if the episode was legit, he answered with a quick NO! He added, "This is Hollywood, California. Hardly anything is legit."

For now THE VOICE is getting the best of X-Factor at the moment and who knows if the VOICE Spring edition will do well against "American Idol" without Cee Lo and Christina Aguilera when they go out on tour.

(Box Office Mojo) TAKEN 2, the film focusing on a hot topic nowadays--Human Trafficking, brought in an impressive $49M at the weekend box-office, which has suddenly come alive in the past two weeks! Liam Neeson stars in the film in which his wife and daughter are caught in a tussle once again with the bad guys! Moviegoers have gravitated to the story which is a simple good guy versus the bad guy type of movie!

Yah, the type that Arnold Schwarzenegger was famous for, right? But Liam Neeson?

Yes, Neeson seems like a regular guy that many have taken a liking to. He wasn't noted for any action films prior to the TAKEN series but he is now! The movie budget was $45M so they have already made a profit in one weekend!

No. 2 is the surprise hit by an animated Adam Sandler in HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA! Well, if your live movies suck (Jack and Jill), why not make an animated movie? GENIUS! The ready for Halloween fun film made an impressive $27M, losing just 36% of its audience from last week. Wow!

Rounding out the top 5 are PITCH PERFECT #3 with $14.8M, #4 LOOPER with $12M, and Tim Burton's FRANKENWEENIE which opened at #5 with a disappointing $11.4M.

(Hollyscoop) Sources are saying that Chris Brown can't seem to make up his mind on whether to go to Rihanna for a second try or go back to recent ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran! Seems that Breezy had a change of heart when he supposedly dumped Karrueche Tran and now he wants her back!

Chris and Karrueche have been in constant contact since their breakup and his ill-timed video of "loving two women." An insider said that he's been talking with Karrueche and told her that he's sorry for flaunting his relationship with Rihanna. As you recall, Breezy was caught smooching with Rihanna not once but twice in a matter of 48 hours the day before he broke up with the Vietnamese-African-American model!

AND, if he did go back to Rihanna! Is that a "train-wreck" waiting to happen? What will happen to their public image? Rihanna has more to lose at this point! "TAKEN 2" No. 1 Again at Weekend B.O.!


"TAKEN 2" star Liam Neeson (above) multitasks with a gun and a cellphone in a scene from the movie.

(CNN) This weekend's box-office champ is "TAKEN 2" once again with $22.5M! The film dropped significantly from an intake of $49M last week to this weekend but has an impressive 2 week total of $86.8M. Nevertheless, a win is a win and the Liam Neeson film has a good chance of beating the first installment which finished with an impressive$145M.

In second, the psychological thriller "ARGO" finished with an outstanding $20.1M. Ben Affleck is having a knack for selecting films now after the success of 2011 thriller "THE TOWN." The film earned an "A+" from Cinemascore audiences and its good word-of-mouth should benefit the film in the long-run.

In 3rd, Ethan Hawke's horror film "SINISTER" earned a pretty good $18.3M! Believe it or not, the budget for SINISTER was only $3M so Summit Entertainment must be celebrating that the film was 6x profitable than what they thought. The film received a low-score of "C+" from Cinemascore audiences which is bad. So hopefully, the film can acquire a profit from overseas before PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4 rolls into theaters this coming weekend!

Rounding out the top 5, #4 was the surprise hit "HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA" which earned $17.3M and the #5 MMA-themed flick "Here Comes the Boom" which didn't exactly lower the boom with audiences, earning a paltry $12M.

Judging from the pattern of past Mixed Martial Arts films, the genre has been a failure so far with "Never Back Down" (2008), "Fighting" (2009), "Unrivaled" (2010), "Haywire" (2011), "Warrior" (2011) and now "Here Comes the Boom" (2012). It's hard to say if MMA-themed films can be appealing on the big screen as opposed to boxing, which tends to still have a grip on the public--at least in the theater. There is no question regarding MMA's popularity but the recent box-office failures may make some studio executives think twice about producing another Mixed Martial Arts type film in the future.
