I may be the farthest one of this group. I'm from New York and I became a Hawaii fan back in the late 80's. To be honest, the main reason at the time was a few games would be on ESPN and the team got me hooked. Obviously I can't say I know details like folk from the islands about the team because I'm not around it near as often. But in a market surrounded by fans of the main SEC teams and Notre Dame, I stand out a bit.

Anyway, just want to give a shout to everyone and say I'm with ya and lets hope for more future success.

I had one uncle that played football and three cousins played baseball for Alabama. One of my best friends that I played ball with in high school played on Bama's 1992 NC team. Odd thing was the fact that we graduated high school in 1983 and both joined the Navy. He always said that he would play at Bama and people doubted him. After joining the Navy, he never stopped pursueing his dream and worked out daily to keep in football shape. When his enlistment was up he walked onto the Alabama team and later earned a scholarship. His senior year was 1992. Never let anyone put out your dreams.
Followed Hawaii since June Jones went there.

TW you're along with BIG WAVE are etc. ,and if this makes you feel bad or upset with me, then I apologize. But if you are still feeling those shivers up and down our spine, then maybe a visit to your doctor may be in order ... Or you need to hang out with Chawan_cut's Tsai'co buddies!
