Krystal’s Heartfelt Birthday Letter Brings Jessica to Tears

On April 11, Jessica held a fan meeting that doubled as a birthday party at the Sungkyunkwan University New Millenium Hall in Seoul. For one of the events during the fan meeting, Jessica transformed into a radio DJ and read aloud stories submitted by fans, only to find that the last letter was from her very own sister Krystal.

While reading the heartfelt letter, Jessica couldn’t hold back the tears.

A Pink to Gift Fans with Song Written by Jung Eunji for 4th Debut Anniversary

A Pink will be celebrating their upcoming fourth debut anniversary by releasing a meaningful song dedicated to their loving fans.

The group’s agency, A Cube Entertainment, has revealed that the girls will be dropping a new song on April 19 at midnight, just in time for their special day. Making the release even more precious, member Jung Eunji has personally written the lyrics of the song.

K-Pop Crossover: NBC News Highlights Korean-American Artists Like Teddy Park And Ailee

The K-pop phenomenon is no longer exclusive to those born and raised in Korea, as many artists from North America and beyond have been attracted to the industry on the other side of the world.
A few such examples were recently highlighted by NBC News and NPR, including popular names such as Ailee, Teddy Park and Jae Chong, all of whom spent their childhood or formative years in the US.

"There's something about kids that grew up in the States," said Chong. "They have a certain kind of swagger and certain kind of things that you can't just learn."
According to Chong, one catalyst for Asian artists in America moving to Korea is the discrimination often found in American entertainment industry.

Girl’s Day Donate 10 Million Won to Nepal Earthquake Relief

The members of Girl’s Day have responded to the devastating news of the Nepal earthquake by donating 10 million won (approximately $9,300 USD) to relief efforts.

A representative of Korean Red Cross revealed, “Girl’s Day has donated 10 million won to the Red Cross to help the victims of the Nepal earthquake.”

Okay, I wasn't familiar with KPop Andy's channel, but I generally don't pay much attention to weekly music lists since there seems to be a wide discrepancy between where artists place on various music programs. The music programs that air in Hawaii (that I'm aware of) are Inkigayo, Music Bank and M! Countdown. For instance, take EXO, they won numerous shows in April, yet on KPop Andy's list (April 2015 - Week 5), he only show's "Call Me Baby" as peaking at #2. Okay .......

On May 7, a representative of the group’s agency, DreamT Entertainment, shared, “On May 12, Girl’s Day will release a new single ‘Hello Bubble’ in collaboration with the hair product brand that they are currently the model for.”
