The top playmakers on offense and defense have departed, but there will be an incumbent defensive coordinator for the first time since 2013.

As 2018 concludes, the University of Hawaii football team is preparing for the duality of change and continuity in the new year.
Mykal Tolliver, who was injured all season, is not expected to return. The Warriors might sign another corner.

McDonald showed leadership while masking pain. This season, he conquered a knee ailment and an incident in which he suffered internal bleeding.
Didn’t know he was playing with a knee injury,
Which now makes sense as to why he was not running as much or why he was not able to
Move well in the pocket

hawaii returns 17 starters on offense and defense. should be a solid veteran year for rolo and the run and shoot. but, . . .

aug.24: arizona, at aloha stadium.
sep.07: oregon state, at aloha stadium.
sep.14: washington, at washington.
nov.03: central arkansas: at aloha stadium.
nov.30: army, at aloha stadium.

with fresno state and boise state, that's four teams that were ranked in 2018.

going to be a spectacular year, filled with potential breakout for hawaii.

Would like to see an expanded offensive playbook for Year 2 of the run and shoot. So many weapons and plays that were not utilized in this past years package. Not talking about trick plays, just add more to the base package. And looking forward to what Year 2 of Batoon's defense can bring. Too many weaknesses this past season, but a year of experience plus adding in the redshirts and new recruits will determine if calls for Batoon's head from some folks were premature.

Warriors went 8-6 in 2018, but played a schedule that ranked 108th in terms of difficulty. That will change dramatically in 2019. Next year's team could be better than 2018's and still not reach 8 wins. Tough task ahead.

The kicking game has improved this past year, so I hope it will get better. The year before last, was horrible.

I guess we are just used to great kicking from the likes of Jason Elam, Scott Harding and Rigoberto Sanchez.

The top things from the Chow era got to be Rigoberto Sanchez. He is with the Colts now (?).
