Judging from their record, that's a good choice. And for the WAC fans like myself, I like that.

And I'm sure many former players would agree and have their own memories. LaTech is not historic like the BYU games (or others that continue to be in the same conference as UH).

From a marketing side, Hawaii Bowl and welcome them with Aloha, to an old "friend."

As much as I "agree" with that, I see Hawaii Bowl as a "celebration" for UH Seniors and players. It's the last game. Enjoy it. Leave it all on the field, no regrets. And win.

Does this sound like I'm trying to make it easy for Hawaii? Yes.

During the regular season, I would like to see a game with powerhouse teams like Ohio State or Alabama. Bring Tua home.

If UH lose, then it's a good lesson and a measurment of where the program is at.

If UH wins, then OMG. I still remember when Chaminade beat Virginia in basketball..

Payout is probably too low and only the Las Vegas Bowl is their only tie in against a non P5 opponent. They don't gain much from playing a non P5 school and if they lose, reputation takes a hit.

god I hated LaTech. Remember when they tried to get penalties called on us for doing the Haka? I'm sure they are probably less jerkish without Dooley or Dykes as HC...

UAB or Middle Tenn Tech would have been more exciting games...MTS would have been a measuring stick to compare against for 2 yrs ago. Anyways, let's just be happy our boys are back to a bowl game. #BowstoBowl
