8 days to hawaii bowl selections

Post by st808 »

hoping hawaii is selected to play in the hawaii bowl. already bought my tickets last month and i would be super happy to be able to use them to cheer on the warriors in the bowl game.

it's on a saturday, dec. 22, 1730. hope to see all the season ticket holders there in person. and don't forget to purchase bowl tickets for your family and friends for christmas. that would put bodies in the seats of the stadium.

Bowl projections & guess our opponent!

Post by couz808 »

Some projections have us playing against Marshall or Southern Miss in the Hawaii Bowl per ESPN and CBS sports. However this website has us playing in the first responders bowl against FIU on dec 26.

Which one of these Conference USA bowl eligible teams do you want to play in the Hawaii Bowl?

UAB (9-3, in CUSA championship game)
North Texas (9-3, in CUSA championship game)
Marshall (8-3, one more game against Virginia Tech)
Middle Tennessee (8-4)
FIU (8-4)
Louisiana Tech (7-5)
Southern Miss (6-5)

I would like to see Hawaii play the best to bring in the attention to the Hawaii Bowl. But, I like LaTech because of Hawaii's history with them. They have Marshall temporarily penciled in.

They seem to be pretty consistent with the Hawaii bowl but its interesting how the other MWC teams are spread out. In the Athlon review they had Wyoming as of 11/18 but this week, they are out even after a win. Here's CBS

I guess that's when they will announce how it will be televised. I hope is on the "major" channels?

Like this last game against SD. I never heard of ESPN U before.

Starts at 530pm so almost like a usual home game. Hawaii will be the visiting team so wherever the home team chooses.

Hawaii will be on the makai side. Every time we've been the "away" team we've been on that side. Good cause of shade though the sun actually feels a little better in late December.

I noticed this year the orange and blue south end zone is all general admission. That's cool. idk if they did it last year since I didn't go, but I know two years ago it was still assigned seating.
