Rolo should be MWC Coach of the Year

Preseason picked 2nd to the last in the MWC West
Finished 2nd place in the MWC West

Preseason picked 10th among the 12 MWC teams
Finished with the 4th best record

Won at Colorado St for the fist time since 1988
Won at San Diego St for the first time since 1988

I would vote for him as COY during his first year because that was a major turnaround with (mostly all) Chow guys. Last year was bad, so where UH is at today is where they be the first year. So I would sum it as "no improvement" even with the bright future of Rolo's R&S.

When UH was 6-1 and looked unstoppable, I would have voted Rolo as COY.

But Utah St was expected to finish 2nd behind Boise St. Thus he didn't really over achieve, neither did Boise or Fresno St

I actually think that the Fresno State coach should get it. I like how he turned things around there and is still at the top. The thing I admired about them is how well they are coached.
