If Cordeiro plays at San Diego, does that mean he cannot play in the Bowl game otherwise he forfeits his RS season?

From what I understand, if Chevan sits out the SDSU game he has 4 more years to play, and still will be able to play in the bowl game. If Chevan plays in the SDSU game, he will forfeit his redshirt year.

Actually, I think that if Chevan plays against SDSU, then he cannot play in the bowl game or else he loses the chance to redshirt this season. In other words, play two more and the redshirt is off.
