Teams aren't figuring Cole out. They are figuring the R&S out.

Press the smaller receivers and throw the timing off. With 8 deep the windows are smaller thus Cole needs to put more zip on the ball. With eight deep you have to throw over more people, into tighter windows to shorter receivers.....thus high throws.

We can't let a 3 man rush get to Cole. We need more motion from the receivers to force the defense to show itself and it gives our smaller receivers more space to break the press.

We need to take what the D gives us.

SJSU is all about how much adjustments the coaches have made from what they saw against Army and Duquesne. The players can only execute the play that is called.

Against a 4 man front with 6-7 players in the box we have been unstoppable. Once other teams press our receivers, drop 8 back with LBs in a zone deep in the slot back routes we are having trouble.

You need to force LBs to support the run.

C'mon coaches we need better play calling............draw plays, RPO, quick flat passes to RBs, misdirection runs, quick pitches to get Holly outside. Gapping holes for Furuta works against a 3 man front too.

Would've felt better about this game if the 2's and 3's played it.
