fair weather hawaii football fans are slow to recognize the entertainment value and bargain of u.h. football games. 500 or so navy or military, maybe as many students.

those attracted by the entertainment value are discouraged by the security measures implemented by the stadium this year and the high prices for the low quality and lack of variety of food in the vendors' offerings.

going to take a five game winning streak and better food to get the crowd near 25K.

How will the attendance be reported so we know who wins?

Ticket sales? or how many people the guy let in? IIRC, some guys would let people in the game on the DL toward the end of the 3rd quarter. That was 30-40 years ago.

UH should offer free tickets to the coaches, parents and players for our LLWS Champs. And also honor them at halftime! This should boost the attendance by at least a few dozen. Maybe more?

I agree. Since there is no baseball team in Hawaii and UH football is the biggest sporting event, it would be an honor to both the Little Leaguers, family and boosters as well as the people of Hawaii to have them recognized. Good idea!

first game of the season, tailgaters are excited just to party. 30,000 in the parking lot, only 24,000 make it in. chee. but i'll be there.

Yes! Also a great Idea! We know that the stadium won't be maxed out anyway. Invite them all and we can congratulate them for their hard work and accomplishments during halftime show. That would be awesome for them to walk out on the field and everyone cheering for them.
