Post by BigWave96744 »

Per Hawaii Athletics:

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai‘i and UCLA have announced a three-game football series beginning with a 2020 contest at Aloha Stadium, just the second all-time meeting between the schools in Honolulu.

The teams are scheduled to meet Sept. 5, 2020 at Aloha Stadium and Aug. 28, 2021 and Sept. 18, 2027 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.

The Rainbow Warriors and Bruins last met in 2017 at the Rose Bowl with UCLA winning 56-23. Previously the teams played in 1935 in Los Angeles and 1939 in Honolulu.

UCLA leads the all-time series 3-0.

UH will face two other Pac-12 teams in 2020 – Aug. 29 at Arizona in Tucson, Ariz., and Sept. 19 versus Oregon at Aloha Stadium along with non-conference home games against Fordham, Sept. 12 and New Mexico State, Oct. 10.

In 2021, the Rainbow Warriors are also scheduled to face Portland State, Sept. 4 and travel to road games at Oregon State, Sept. 11 and New Mexico State, Sept. 25.

Hawaii last played Arizona in Tucson, AZ like two years ago. Before that it was like 40 years ago. Something like that.

Any change MWC will end and UH (and others) will be part of Pac-12 (Pac-20)?

Looking back. WAC was exciting. Then BYU left for the strange conference call MWC. I guess that's where the cool kids are playing. Then BYU left. Everyone else joined.

I kind of feel the entire MWC sucks. Nothing specific. Just does not have the same "feeling" as the old WAC.

Yes, I know there's no WAC football anymore and the rest of WAC became MWC.
