Possibly 4 true freshmen starting. Might have some growing pains this year.

I like the size of the line. Hopefully they can control the line of scrimmage. I don't think its going to be an offensive shootout.

Warriors! Come out and play-i-ay!
Warriors! Come out and play-i-ay!
The Ha'a is heard, louder and louder.
Okole is kicked.
Now the enemy runs home to cry to their mother.

Re: Depth Chart

Post by Kahaluu Imua Warriors »

Interesting facts based on the opening week Depth Chart with the offense and defense (if I read it correctly):
5 - Seniors on Offense
0 - Starters
4 - Seniors on Defense
3 - Starters
4 - Freshmen on Offense
* All True Freshmen on Offense
2 1/2 - Starters
5 - Freshmen on Defense (Only One True Freshman)
1 - Starter
* Only 3 Starting Seniors Total

Comment and please share more:
Defenitely a new world on offense with many new players with true freshmen. Love the confidence of these coaches to start new freshmen and transfers. Only 3 starting seniors! Wow already cant wait till next year. Love Rolo's headline in today's Star-Advertiser "Expect a Dogfight". This is a rebuilding year and a dogfight is what we all want to see as fans, win or lose. Minimise the mis-coverage, poor down field tackling for huge embarrasing plays by the opponent, O-line penalties, drop passes and QB misreads (admittedly a tough one with new QBs in this offense) and we as fans will be happy and excited for next year with many returnees that will put up a good year's fight. One year of seasoning will make the difference between wining or losing.

Hey, remember Co St. has a new QB and a HC missing in action with an illness (we still pray for him) but they have the home field and high elevation. It seems, and I have not felt or seen this for a while, we are ready and confidant, but let's see what happens on the game field. If all goes well, it will be a dogfight. Imua Warriors!!!

P.S. I am accessing my comments from my new home in Sol Cal by usuing all comments and news reports I read all over the internet instead of going to practices. With that I am surprised I don't see (on the Depth Chart) Keene, Mataafa and the freshman Borden because of their speed and athleticism. Possible redshirts for the future? And where is Mageo, last year's starter if I recall. If the two guys in front of him are that much better, more power to the Bows.

P.S.S. Time to change my avatar - "Bows Back in Black!" Oohh yeaaah!

Borden is hurt. May be cleared later but should probably redshirt.

We have a very young team. Might have some growing pains.

Mageo missed all of last season with an injury. He was reinjured during spring practice and is still out.

In spite of what the depth chart shows, Keene and Matafaa are in the rotation in certain packages and will play. Both are really good pass rushers.

Mahalo for the info guys. Rotating guys in certain packages might be smart up in highs of the Rockies. Keep em fresh as long as CS doesn't do a hurry up offense.

On another note, had to buy CBS Access to get the game tomorrow here in my part of Sol Cal. Go Men in Black...well in this case white with black!!!!!
