Tennessee: Jeremy Pruitt announced most of his staff today, most of which we have previously reported. The coaches and their positions are as follows; Tyson Helton (OC), Kevin Sherrer (DC), Charles Kelly (STC), Will Friend (OL), Robert Gillespie (RBs), Brian Niedermeyer (offensive assistant), Tracy Rocker (DL), Chris Rumph (LBs), Terry Fair (CBs), and Craig Fitzgerald (strength and conditioning).
Tyson started his career in 2000 as a Hawaii GA then spent 2002-2003 as an Assistant coach.

Wasn't Tyson Helton ST coach during his days at UH? Those days when Chad Owens was running wild and free down the field for touchdowns on kick offs and punt returns? Mayur should find and review film from UH football archives on ST punt returns and kickoff return blocking schemes from those years.

ST were instrumental in helping UH win games then.

Good for Tyson

Yes you are correct.
Mighty Mouse thrived while under Tyson.

Speaking of ST, former Rainbows ST greats Darrick Branch and Matthew Harding, are shocked at our lack if execution on special team returns and frequency of fair catches. They along with coach Wags told me they would spend a good amount of practice on ST because they knew it was potential game changers.

Darrick hated to fair catch punts. When I told him the season ending total for punt returns was 6 for 30 yards, he said, "I had that much on 1 return"

On the contrary our opponents had 27 for 201 yards. NOT GOOD
