SDSU coaching experience vs Hawaii

Post by BigWave96744 »

When you see the rise of the SDSU program, one only has to look at their coaching staff and their wealth of experience.

1 former NFL position coach (Horton)
3 former D1 HC (Long, Hauck, Horton)
2 former FCS HC (Hauck, Mcgarry)
1 former High School HC
1 former D1 DC & OC
3 former D1 position coaches
1 former NFL player

Compare that with our staff and it's like night and day. While I do like the youth movement, you cannot go all youth and rely on OJT. Tomey, Wags, June, Mack had "older" experienced "mentor" on staff to help them along the ride.

I agree. Hope some changes are made to bring in more experience.
