Bobby Curran and John Veneri should be paying for their tickets at UH games

I have no clue how Bobby Curran and John Veneri got into the booth to call the games but they are the worse you will ever hear on the radio. Its better if you listen to the stadium announcer who says who made the tackle. Veneri started trying to sing a tune during a play on the field like how he used to sing the old MacDonalds of Hawaii commercial. So irritating. I don't think either of them do much studying before the game.

I leave the radio at home during home games. The radio broadcast is a major distraction from the game.

Your not going to find anyone more loyal to UH sports.

I also prefer not to listen. If you are listening online, get the visiting teams audio feed.

Thanks Fan. I never thought about getting it since I usually dial into the UH website. I think they are probably great fans that should be sitting in the seats not the booth.

Visiting broadcasters usually do their homework. Most have a more subdued tone appropriate to a mid level NCAA contest. I find most to be quite respectful of our team. Also they are apologetic for not getting the names right.

It's funny watching games and then turning on the radio after to hear the "plays of the game" and comparing the two, if I was just listening on radio I would have no idea what happened.

The fan phone guy is irritating as well he a homer and gets so defensive, there are some good callers with some good observations or points and if it’s about poor play or bad coaching he get defensive, last night one caller was saying how Brown is a one look passer where he does not look off receivers and how he throws into coverage Gary got all mad lol

Back on subject yah I don’t listen to the radio any more
Bobby used to alway cut John off when he tried to say stuff that’s bad

word of warning. don't think you'll be wanting to listen to the BYU broadcast. just saying.

Hope there is some improvement by the end of the season. (The football and the broadcast.)

There's an easy solution to this, turn down the volume on the television and turn on the radio while watching the game.

Better yet. Keep the radio turned off, mute the TV, but set up the closed captioning. The words may be a bit behind the actual action, but you don't have to listen to any of these guys. Miano is the only one worth listening to IMHO.

Wow, the Nevada broadcasters give some pretty good insight about both teams. As an example, the pregame, they talk about Hawaii blitzing 60% of the time and issues surrounding that, Diocemy Saint Juste and how he is one of the better runners they have seen since Northwestern, how Cole MacDonald is brought in for short yardage situations, etc.

Those broadcasters actually work for CBS Sports, not Nevada.

I think he was referring to Nevades radio broadcaster not the TV broadcasters
