Probably. But, one of these years we're gonna beat one of these major schools like we did Alabama in 2003(Bama wasn't the Bama we know now, but still). Will it be this week, doubtful. Smart money is we get boat raced. But they're going to play the game, so might as well see if we can be a pain in the okole for UCLA. Bruins clearly suck at run defense so maybe if we go major ball control we can disrupt tempo. My goal will be what it always is in these games. Just hope for a non embarrassing final score. Even a 35-17 is okay. Just not a 62-3 or some poop show like that.

Get chance. Hopefully Henderson doesn't play injured and Ursua has some game time. I think we've got a solid defensive line with Kolomatangi and Moala. The Western Carolina game was disappointing because the quarterback was so good that he was responsible for 3/4 of the total yardage and the leading rusher. When the defense came after him, his passing was pretty accurate. Little disappointed by Moananu because he started well as a freshman playing offense and defense and had high hopes for him this year only to see him get an unsportsmanlike penalty. If Hawaii can stop the run, we'll play UCLA tough. If they get another unsportsmanlike penalty like they did in the first two games its going to be a long game.

Short rest, hangover from amazing game...I could see UCLA sleepwalking in this one, keeping it closer than it should be, but yes...there is potential for a big loss. Next three weeks, @UCLA, @Wyoming, Colorado State...neutral observers expect UH to lose all three games, maybe all by large margins. UH is playing with house money. Steal 1/3 of those games, and this could be a special season.

One out of three. Do that, and 8-4 or 9-3 are on the table.

I am flying from the east coast and having a bunch of my jiu jitsu friends from LA join me at the game in the Rose Bowl. I think a realistic prediction is UCLA 49 - UH 17. Ball control from the offense will be important a la what JJ did against teams like USC. Rosen pulled a rabbit out his arse and will be riding a wave of momentum with all the press. Let's hope the D being more "attacking" will be unveiled. This D has been hard hitting thus far, so that can be a factor too. #Hawaiistrong

Clearly both defenses are lacking. Drew Brown's artistically challenged passing game and this unruly mob of an offensive line that we have show cased against sub-par teams will also hinder us. I vote for short passes and a running game. We should cover the spread. One might consider the over on this 63 point predicted game. Maybe Legi has figured out how to engineer a hybrid defense taking into account our limited resources...

I have the same feeling about this game as your hope which is: 1) We ran the ball in the third quarter although they were looking for it against UMass, 2) The defensive line played tough against the quarterback in the third and fourth quarters. I like the fact that some of the players in the 90s chased down the quarterback and they looked fast. Thats Meffy, Zeno and Viane.
