This an old article but it kind of shows the kind of money they have at Michigan.

I'm one of McMackin's biggest fans, but at the time he was asked to leave...he was likely to retire anyway. However, he was also likely to have turned over the team to Rolovich and Aranda in a year's time. Instead, we got 4 years of misery. Imagine what could've been...

We'll be fine.

Did he finish his degree? I think that's a requirement to be a coach and why a couple former players who went on to the NFL haven't been able to be hired as coaches and were instead student managers or some similar position.

It is clear to me UH's budget is tight, so they can only afford a promising DC or an old DC since they'll be cheaper. I'd prefer I young DC to create longevity and stop the merry-go-around of coaching. Player development, recruiting and morale are greatly impact when there is constant coaching changes.

Coach Legi is the new DC
Legi Suiaunoa has been named the University of Hawaii football team’s defensive coordinator, the school announced today.

Closer to the grandkids. About the same money for less work and stress. Big time lower cost of living. Can't blame the man. Would have liked to have seen his defense build as he was bringing in his recruits to play his system.
Cats don't have owners. Cats have servants.
