#97: rolo's compensation is listed at $1 million???
meanwhile, those in the red have some meaty compensation that could tempt a coach looking to take care of his family.

I didn't think his salary was that high.

I think that when Rolovich came to UH to headcoach, it wasn't going to be a high paying job. But then again, the president of the US makes the same amount of money. If stadium revenues go up and the program starts making money, I'm sure that the University will consider bonuses during his first four years as head coach. Isn't there an incentive clause that calls for a bonus for going to last year's bowl?

$20k for going to the Hawaii Bowl...shrek2 wrote:I think that when Rolovich came to UH to headcoach, it wasn't going to be a high paying job. I am sure Rolo won't ask for more money until he feels that the school can afford it and/or football attendance gets back to pre-chow levels. I could be wrong but I get the sense that he will be here for at least 5 or 6 years before money becomes an issue, and maybe not even then... He's young and people can change, but this job has always been his goal and unlike most other potential coaches, he knew exactly what he was signing up for when he took the job and it was his still dream job so who knows. I would still be very surprised if he left for a higher paying job any time within the next 3-4 years.

Rolo is supposed to be in the $400k range, not 1 mil.
Cats don't have owners. Cats have servants.
Re: 2017 College Football HotSeat Preseason
That's position coach money at the P5 level. If Rolo finds success (which I believe he will), UH had better be ready to pay up. Expecting a coach to pass up big money is a fantasy in today's world of coaching.My3Cats wrote:Rolo is supposed to be in the $400k range, not 1 mil.

He made 20K for making the bowl game, I think another 20 K for winning the bowl game. AND, he may have made some for the high APR. He also got an automatic 1 year extension for making the bowl game.uhwarriors wrote:Rolovich is the lowest paid HC in the MW at $400,008.
