Average star rating tells a better story of where a class is at. The normal rankings give preference to large classes. Avg. star rankings: quality over quantity.

13 3-Star Recruits (11 by Scout, and 2 247Sports)

Miles Reed 3S Scout
Hekili Keliiliki 3S 247Sports
Isaia Mullen 3S Scout/247Sports
Drake Stallworth 3S Scout
Donovan 3SESPN/247Sports
Marcus Armstrong-Brown 3S Scout
Kade Greeley 3S Scout
Brandon Kipper 3S Scout
Josaiah Maama 3S 247Sports
Blessman Ta’ala 3S Scout/247/Sports
Jamie Tago 3S Scout/ESPN/Rivals/247Sports
Anthony Mermea 3S Scout

Micah Vanterpool OT 6-6/286, Doug Russell DT 6-5/270, and Penei Stowers-Pavihi LB 6-3/225 (#3 recruit out of American Samoa) definitely were under-the-radar by pundits from Scout, Rivals, ESPN, and 247Sports.

These ratings and rankings are nice, but the kids still need to perform and translate potential into wins. JJ won with sub par recruits, which he overcame with coaching and scheme. I see Rolo being able to do similarly with a better group of talent.

The average kid listed above is a better recruit them in the past and Rolo is only beginning the building processes. We will see in three years what these guys produce and until then as fans we need to be supportive of the process.
Be humble and confident in yourself and all things you do. :zook:

Missing in the above equation is three-star RB HEKILI KELIILIKI.

That'll probably bump us up a couple of spots.

I believe this class will be stronger than that #88 ranking. I'm impressed with how recruiting went. Too bad we couldn't sign at least one local recruit. Rolo recruited what most here say we needed. Back-end speed at the DB, DL, OT, RB and WR. Nice job by all the coaches and hosts.

in terms of "need" I think they nailed this class. I'm so hyped for next season!

Agreed, great recruiting class . . . only wish they would have recruited a HS dual threat QB to add depth to the position.
