By the time that the PACwhatevertheyarebythen seriously considers UH for membership, it will be the PAC42.
Dreamers are the ones that make the impossible possible..
Evan Dumbelle was a dreamer. See where he got UH?

However, Stanley Sheriff was a visionary (RIP) who took action, and who UH misses very much.

Dreamers dream. Visionaries who take action rule.

I think another stadium the state and university should look at as inspiration is Stanford Stadium. Yes it is a 50,000 seat stadium, but you can easily downsize it in areas to fit whatever budget is set.

Hawaii will never be a member of the Pac...we don't have enough residents or students. I do enjoy watching us play them year in and year out.
Plus they just plain don't want us.
They want our talent.

Attitudes change. So do the guys at the top. How many UH Presidents since JJ? Chancellors? How many AD's? Got to be ready to seize the moment. Got to be prepared or forever be less than your potential.

It was the support of the governor who really got us the stadium we have now. We don't have that now. But we better grab whatever we can get from our politicians.

It will take several years before they break ground. If Rolo and Co do well and they start to bring fans in, in excess of 35K, it goes back to the drawing board and will take another 10 years.

I think the could've saved more money by expanding tc Ching stadium to around 35000 seats. Unfortunately no tailgating in the garage area

Everyone always says build an on-campus stadium, but they don't think about logistics. It would create more of a traffic nightmare in the area than it already is. The freeway off ramps and side streets are not big enough to handle the traffic a game would create. The parking garage is not close to being big enough in its current state to accommodate the amount of cars one would think would go to a football game at a 30-40,000 seat stadium. And off-site parking in the surrounding Manoa/ Makiki area is limited. Rail to Manoa would solve that problem to a degree, but that's a whole different argument that, while it should be the goal, is looking more and more unlikely given the situation.
