Dark Green Helmets???

Have we moved on from them? As much as I like the white ones I still like the dark green ones. Would like to see the green at home and white on the road.

I like the 2 helmets. White on road, black at home would be mobetta!

On another note, the NFL now forbids teams from wearing different helmets during the year for player safety, yet the NCAA still allows teams to do so? What is up with that?
I think the NFL is just covering it's okole after years of no protective policies that screwed players is why, and the player lawsuit against the league. What BS! Guck Foodell! I'd like to see a report on how many players sustained head injuries while wearing their alternate helmet in years past. I bet it has nothing to do with it, just another way the NFL can say that they care about their players safety, which to me is just a bunch of malarkey.

If the report does show something related to this, then why isn't the NCAA doing something about it?

That, right there. The dark green helmets looked fine during the black uni J.J. era, but after they changed the green on the unis to more of a kelly green it no longer matched. Changing the unis but continuing to use a mismatched helmet from another era just looks cheap.

The little-used silver away-helmets from the J.J. era were sweet, though.

I second this. We aren't UNLV.

Plus, white helmets are so boring, dull, and bland. If we are to have a white helmet, let it be one of MANY helmets we wear. Don't make white helmets the only helmets we wear this year!

Maybe Rolo is superstitious and thinks the white helmets will give us a better chance to win than wearing the blacks or greens. It hasn't shown so far. I'm with everybody who's suggested multiple helmets.
