Star-Ad reporting that Arizona QB Solomon probably won't start/play. (Hope he heals and does well ... after the Hawaii game. heh heh)
But, the back up soph QB seems more mobile and I think scored to running TDs last week. Our D will have to contain him ... let him throw to beat us.

I've been waiting to talk about this game with you guys since it was announced. Then we finally get to game week and real life keeps me off of message boards till now. :(

This was excellent! Even I learned some Arizona stuff I didn't know. :)

On Bradford's dismissal, it leaves a true freshman as the #2 RB and who knows what behind him. The starter, Nick Wilson, is the Cats' best player but he has been injury prone (he was hurt most of last season).

Here are the uniforms the UA will be wearing to honor the U.S.S. ARizona:
http://www.arizonawildcats.com/news/201 ... -game.aspx

Since the jerseys will be lighter (grey) has there been any talk of UH wearing green jerseys?

Forget the spread, the Warriors have a legit shot to win. The UA defense is as bad as expected but the offense has been surprisingly bad. The starting center suddenly passed away during fall camp and the O-line has not performed well at all. Then Anu got hurt (it's very likely he misses at least another week) and the team was trailing an FCS team 21-3 at halftime last week. If Grambling's starting QB doesn't get injured they probably win that game.

I expect a dogfight between two struggling teams desperate to build some momentum.

Is anyone from this board going to the game?

Hey Desert Isle. Bummer to hear about the starting center suddenly passing away during fall camp. Geez ... so young.
Good luck to both teams.

Thanks, Grinch. It's been a rough couple months for the program. There was a big ceremony before the first game and Zach's parents were presented with his helmet before the home opener. Here's the story on his passing if anyone's interested:

Another article from the Tucson paper, here's Makani Kema-Kaleiwahea's story from the UA perspective. He's still very much loved by his former teammates:

I was thinking, you guys don't get many road games on in prime time in Hawaii do you? I know all you die hard fans on the islands have to deal with a lot of morning starts so this week must be nice. Here in Arizona the fans are tired of the Pac-12 Network forcing so late games. A lot of 8 pm starts (like tonight) and we even have some 9 pm basketball games coming up. So I'm jealous you'll get to watch this game at 5 pm local time.

Anyway, here's to an injury-free game with both teams looking better, everyone honoring the victims and survivors of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and lots of great Dick Tomey stories (with the Wildcats pulling out the win 8) ).

Poor Rolo. Looks like he was brought on board for peanuts to coach the sacrificial lambs. The schedule retarded.

Score update

FINAL
Wyoming 45
UC-Davis 22.

Also, the Ohio State @ Oklahoma game delayed due to lightning. Major storm is heading towards Norman with lightning and good-sized hail.
