The Tennessee-Martin @ Jacksonville State game at the end of the season for the Skyhawks needs to have a * by it since it is an Ohio Valley Conference game!!!!

The same goes for the Tennessee State game for the UTM Skyhawks.
I'm gonna put in a variety of misc errors each week just to keep you busy.

It's Bacone College. You misspelled the school's name, Irse [-X . They are the Warriors and based outta Muskogee, Oklahoma (southeastern Oklahoma). The are members of the NAIA (similar to the NCAA but lower) Central States Football League.

It was an all-Native American only university. So was the University of Tulsa.

Re: 2016 Schedule of Opponent's schedules - Week 4 Loss to Arizona

Post by chawan_cut »

thanks for the history lesson,

i didn't get to watch the game so i can't comment, but everyone says that JC transfer Dru Brown looks like the future so we should let him start. this will be a good bye week to get all this settled out. especially the defense.

- Cal beats Texas, does this mean SDSU is better than Texas? They should beat up on ASU who struggled with Texas San Antonio
- Michiga was down to Colorado at the half but righted things in the 2nd to cruise to a victory
- Tenn Martin whoops up on the history lesson by wyokie by scoring 84 points
- Nevada handles Buffalo easily but need to head to the Boilermakers this week before we go there in 2.
- San Jose gets doubled up on by Utah. It doesn't get easier as they need to head to Iowa St
- UNLV loses big to Central Michigan but should get a breather this week with Idaho
- Air Force rests up before going to Logan Utah to take on the Aggies this week
- New Mexico was giving Rutgers a game before losing
- SDSU goes to N. Illinois and gets the win. They get a bye before heading to South Alabama in 2
- Boise gets a bye to work on their trick plays for the Beavers this week
- Fresno gets whupped big by Toledo. They host former WAC member Tulsa this week
- UMass gets their first win against Florida Int'l this week

Re: 2016 Schedule of Opponent's schedules - Week 5 - Bye week

Post by chawan_cut »

so... Dru to start. Bye week will help with more reps with the first team.
hope the D also found themselves.

Cal goes down to the Sun Devils in a shoot out.
Michigan takes out a struggling Penn St but get the hot Badgers this week
Tenn-Martin continues to romp it's opponents
Arizona loses to UW who seems to be the real deal this year. They head to LA this week
Nevada goes to Purdue but can't hold the first half lead and lose to the Boilermakers. Let's hope the travel gets to them this week
San Jose gets a paycheck at Iowa St. They should be ok this week at New Mexico
UNLV loses to former WAC member Idaho. They host the really struggling Fresno St this week to open the conference
Air Forces starts the conference right by beating Mountain foe Utah St. They get their rivalry game with Navy this week
New Mexico had a bye to get ready for the Spartans
SDSU also has a bye and for some reason goes to South Alabama this week
Boise keeps knocking down the PAC-12 teams winning against the Beavers. They get USU this week
Fresno loses to another former WAC member Tulsa.
And Massachusetts loses to Mississippi st and play Tulane this week.

See you guys Saturday!

Re: 2016 Schedule of Opponent's schedules - Week 6 - WIN vs Nevada!!!

Post by chawan_cut »

wow, from start to finish. that was a nice end to end win. didn't know what to do in the 4th being up by that much. Dru is the answer it seems. we'll see when we take the show on the road. besides that late scramble fumble, Brown had the game in his hands. Our O-line dominated and gave our RBs huge holes.
San Jose is up next and they put up 41 in a loss to the Lobos. They put up 66 earlier this year against Portland St but were dominated in their other 3 losses.
Next week will be another test for us as we haven't won on the road in who knows how long.

- Cal pulls the upset over #18 Utah. They get hapless Oregon St next week.
- Michigan has some kicking troubles, missing 3 FGs and making the win over Wisconsin more interesting. They should have an easy time @ Rutgers this week
- UTM loses to in state rival, Tenn St. They host the Governors of Austin Peay this week
- Arizona loses 2 in row in LA. They will get an upset Utah team this week
- UNLV whoops Fresno. What? yes, they whooped Fresno. They go to San Diego St who will be peeved as well as they went to South Alabama and gets wiped out, yes, South Alabama.
- Air Force looks good as they should get the Commander in Chief trophy this year
- Boise beats up Mountain rival, USU.
- and UMass had the lead but loses to Tulane.

Gotta keep this consistency going on the road. Can't wait to see what team shows up on Saturday.

Other games of note,
Oregon is struggling, losing to WAZZU???
Did you catch that Tenneessee vs Georgia ending??? any day Georgia loses its a good day.
UW smashes Stanford
Crazy Louisville vs Clemson game
Also Florida St goes down to UNC on a game ending FG
Yay, Michigan St loses to Indiana, yep. Its great when the Spartans loses too

Re: 2016 Schedule of Opponent's schedules - Week 7 -WIN @ San Jose!!!!

Post by chawan_cut »

2 game winning streak!
Top of the West division!
First road win in 2 years!
sure it isn't against the top of the conference, but we couldn't do this at all the last 2 years. can't over celebrate and get too big headed but we can enjoy it a little and then get ready for homecoming and UNLV this week. they got an angry San Diego St yesterday.

here's how the rest did
- Cal loses at Oregon St??? the Beavers have been hopeless this year. they get a break before hosting the struggling Ducks in 2 weeks
- 78 points for Michigan wiping out Rutgers? Boy do they miss Ray Rice who get them into the Big 10. They don't belong there. The Wolverines can relax a week before getting the Illini.
- Tenn martin gets back on the winning track beating Austin Peay.
- Arizona loses its 3rd in a row at Utah. They get a resurging USC this week
- Nevada beats up Fresno and heads to San Jose this week
- Air Force loses at wyokie's Cowpokes. What???
- Boise gets revenge against New Mexico who ruined their season last year.
- and UMass loses 3 in a row vs Old Dominion. They get former WAC member La Tech this week.

this week's game vs UNLV is winnable. we have to keep consistent. UNLV has a mobile QB and can score points. so far so good with Brown. great job by our D with 3 INTs this week. we'll need that more often this season.

other games of note
Oregon gives up 70 points to UW! talk about a rebuilding year
Notre dame loses to NC State???
Houston will get knocked out of the top 10 after losing to Navy, congrats to coach Niumatalolo
Tennessee has another crazy game at A&M but can't come out on top
again, 78 points by Michigan?!?! glad we didn't lose by that much
Stanford loses 2 in a row losing to WSU? what?
Texas will be looking for a new coach soon after losing it's rivalry game to OK
Go Warriors! Go Na Wahine!

Re: 2016 Schedule of Opponent's schedules - Week 8 - tough loss to UNLV

Post by chawan_cut »

man, nice to see the stadium more full than not. the wave (even tho it was when we were on offense), the chants of defense, the weird cell phone flash lights in the 4th. offense was up and up with unlv's, but our defense wasn't. they were fast, they were tricky and we just had one really bad turnover to kill our possible game winning drive to give them one. still, this has been better than any of the last 4 years. we would've got blown out any other year. now we gotta go to altitude and try to run up and down the field with the Air Force falcons

nevada keeps falling, losing to San Jose
Boise gets away with a win against CSU.
Fresno is struggling, only scoring 3

Re: 2016 Schedule of Opponent's schedules - Week 10 - loss to New Mexico

Post by chawan_cut »

dang. we needed this one. one turnover made the difference. and maybe a little too much up the middle. a bowl is still doable, but it'll take a big upset in the next 2 weeks.
first off i'd like to say much mahalo to the team for their special game helmets with the 442nd logo on one side and the date 12-7-41 on the other to remember the sacrifices by both the 442 and the lives lost at Pearl Harbor. this was just a game, but they gave their lives.

big games this week, congrats to wyokie's Pokes for pulling off what seems like an annual upset of the hot Broncos. on a Safety too! boo hoo blue turf broncs. i feel sorry for san jose this week tho, they'll get the full brunt of them this week.
we'll have to figure out how to stop another huge running game in SDSU this week.
Fresno loses their coach during this horrible season.
Michigan beats michigan state (yay!) to get revenge for last year's fluke loss that ruined their season.

anyways, the season isn't over. we still got 4 games. the ball is funny shaped for a reason and it can bounce any way. hope it bounces our way this week.

Post by chawan_cut »

sorry been busy. updated the last 2 weekend's losses. this was the 2nd tough part of the schedule and it shows. didn't expect to get shut out at SDSU and Boise had the game in hand at halftime. the guys have 2 games left to make the best of this season. they've had too many rough seasons before this and can either rebound from these losses or go down the past route and yeah, let's not do this. let's win out to build momentum for next season.
