Also....
it's California Golden Bears, not Cal Bears. Sounds like a member of the Care Bears toys from the late '80s. I'll be O.K. with Cal Golden Bears but still....

I've done a lot of things here in the last oh so many years.
I gotta search to see when I started. I forget.
I think I was doing more the news uploads back then. that took a lot of time.
ok, sorry i took so long to update. i am on travel in Michigan and don't have access to my files, so the update looks a little ugly. i'll fix it for sure after the first home game this sat.
first off, Ann Arbor is nice. The fans are nice, the stadium is nice. we just didn't play nice.
the ohio state tailgates were crazier, altho we did'nt walk thru most of the Michigan tailgates.
michigan is good, but we didn't help with our offense going backwards from the Cal game.
Hard to tell tho as Michigan is top 10 and had us running for our lives. we couldn't get open, couldn't open holes for the rbs, and we had some bad passes for those pick 6's. they took advanatage of our depleted D that was out there a lot and scored quick and often.
What's good is we escaped pretty much unharmed these last 2 weeks.
anyways, here's a quick summary on the opponents
- Cal was off this week but goes to SDSU this week. should be a good preview of how SDSU will be this year
- Tennessee Martin loses at Cincy, but respectable, they make the LONG flight to us this week. Hope they enjoy the sun and sea
- Arizona loses ugly to BYU. They get a breather against Grambling State this week before we head to Tuscon next week
- Nevada struggles against D-1AA Cal Poly and escapes in OT. didn't read any recap so not sure how they struggled. They get an angry Irish team that just lost to Texas last night.
- San Jose gets roughed up by Tulsa. They should have an easier time against Portland State this week
- UNLV wipes out Jackson state, but get to go to LA for UCLA. this will be a true test
- Air Force takes out abeline christian (who?) and gets Georgia state (who who??) this week
- New Mexico flexes its offense and takes out South Dakota. They have their rivalry game this week vs NMSU
- Poor new hampshire goes from the NE corner of america to the SW corner and gets shut out by SDSU.
- Boise goes to Louisiana for some reason and beats up the Lafayettes They get neighboring Wazzu this week
- Fresno also gets a body bag $$$ game at Nebraska. They can relax this week against the Sac St hornets
- UMass gets some $$ at the swamp and lose to Florida. It was close at the start
Ok, hopefully our team isn't too down in the dumps this week and re-group for Sat to try to get our first win We'll see how many fans show up for the first game of the Rolo era.
Needed that win.
Was scary tho. So many big plays both ways against a D-IAA school. Maybe they're that good. maybe our D needs work.
jekyl and hyde Woosley. 3 horrible interceptions but 4 nice TDs.
even our Special teams struggled.
Anyways, we have a week to prep to get ready to go to Tucson to play the Wild cats who just got by Grambling state
Cal lost to preseason MWC favorite SDSU. The Aztecs' RB Pomfrey goes past Marshall Faulk's yardage mark.
Michigan beat up on Central Florida
Nevada goes to Notre Dame and gets roughed up by the Fighting Irish. They host Buffalo this week
San Jose beats up on Portland State but now have to face the incoming Utes
UNLV gets doubled up by UCLA and now get Central Michigan who pulled off the crazy hail mary win at OK St yesterday
Aur Force goes 2-0 against their 2nd Div 1-aa team in a row. they get a bye this week
New Mexico loses its rivlary game to NMSU. They head east to Rutgers
SDSU goes to the midwest to play at the NIU Huskies.
Boise goes to 2-0 too beating next state neighbor WSU. They have a bye this week before going to play the Beavers in 2
Fresno gets on track beating their d-1aa opponent Sac St Hornets, they gotta go to Ohio now to play the Rockets of Toledo
and UMass is 0-2 losing to ACC member Boston College They get FIU this week.
The Tennessee-Martin @ Jacksonville State game at the end of the season for the Skyhawks needs to have a * by it since it is an Ohio Valley Conference game!!!!
The same goes for the Tennessee State game for the UTM Skyhawks.
