Chris Posa to join Warrior Oline

Post by Grinch »

According to SA - former Alabama lineman to join the Warriors. Anyone think he has a chance at starting? If so, wonder if others will compete at guard?

Posa, who is 6 feet 4 and 290 pounds, practiced at every line position at Alabama but is projected to compete at center for UH. Asotui Eli, John Wa‘a and Fred Ulu-Perry rotated at center in spring training."

Alabama offered Chris plenty of scholarship money for his grades and ACT score, he said, but his walk-on status for the Crimson Tide was aided by his father's MSU roommate and former-Spartan defensive back Carter Kamana, who played under current-Alabama head coach Nick Saban while he was at MSU.

Kamana knew enough people to get Chris' tape in the right hands, bettering his odds of being offered the walk-on position he accepted.

“Having lived in Michigan my whole life, I wanted to go somewhere nobody knew me,” Chris said.
He sounds like a very interesting personality.
I don't think he's had any playing time at Alabama.
I don't see any stats on him. This will be an interesting addition to say the least.

Always good to have extra beef on the Oline. If he doesn't make the travel squad for Michigan, I wonder if he will pay his own way to suit up in his home state

Posa did travel to Michigan. Not sure if he played but must have been a treat to see family and friends

Walked on and spent 3 years at Bama and dnp. Graduated Engineering. Must be pretty smart. Hard to see where our coaches are going with this player.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.
