Nic Tom (Kaiser) UH Walk On

Post by 808gobows808 »

http://hawaiiwarriorworld.com/warrior-b ... -warriors/

I was half listening to 1420AM at around 7am on National Signing Day in Feb-2016

Rich Miano was on the radio talking about UH recruiting class.

He mentioned QB for Kaiser drawing interest from UH coaches.

My memory hazy, but I think Miano said something like (paraphrasing here) "kid could be as good as Christian McCaffrey" (RB from Stanford)

Anyone else remember listening to 1420 that morning?

Anyone can confirm that Miano was talking about Nic Tom and compared him to McCaffrey?

Thanks!

Great all around athlete and a family who has supported Hawaii for years.
Nic considered joining his cousin Noah Crabbe (former Kamehameha kicker) at Air Force but ultimately chose to play for the home team.
He was coached by Richard Torres who had high praises for Nic on the field and in the weight room.

I like his Hudl video where he took an onside kick to the house in Aloha stadium. Hope he sees himself playing there to a revitalized football program and fanbase. Make it happen Nic!
